A school district in Massachusetts has been slowly phasing algebra 1 out of its middle-school curriculum because the advanced math classes were predominantly taken by white and Asian students. Now, some area parents are considering placing their child in a private school or a homeschooling program to ensure that they are adequately prepared for high school mathematics.
Since 2017, Cambridge Public Schools has been slowly moving away from placing middle school students into "grade-level" or "accelerated" math classes since the "grade-level" courses were filled with black and Hispanic students, while the "accelerated" courses had mostly white and Asian students. District officials claim that the changes are designed to create better equity.

Homeschooling. Do it. By the time one of my boys had finished high school he had finished Calc 1, Calc 2, Calc 3 and Differential Equations. And possibly linear algebra. I can’t remember.

Decades ago, my local school district phased out their “gifted program” because they were tired of discrimination lawsuits.
Just after we moved here specifically because of it.
We wound up homeschooling.
In the eyes of Dims, math is racist.
Removing this option is petty and vindictive. Hating on those who excel at math is something you see from marxists. Pol Pot would have approved wholeheartedly.
Remember, got to keep the riff raff dumbed down so they'll be inclined to believe anything they are told by their betters.

The DELIBERATE DOWN LEVELING to the LOWEST common denominator continues and spreads in our nation. The current level for Baltimore high school seniors is the ILLITERATE LEVEL. Published testing showed that many of their schools were 93% illiterate level. Parents demanded that this be fixed. The school administrators “fixed” it by hiding the achievement test scores going forward. See… problem fixed.

What did he do in college and afterwards with all that high level math?

In the long run, this will just make whites and Asians far more educated than blacks and browns. The problem is demographic voting trends.
This is effectively what is happening. Harvard and MIT faculty do not want their kids falling behind their competition because of this, and so are signing their kids up with tutors to do what the schools refuse to: educate children.
Just imagine the quality of our future lawyers, doctors, engineers and pilots. Scary.
The racial makeup of the town was 91.69% White, 4.50% African American, 0.17% Native American, 1.97% Asian, 0.05% Pacific Islander, 0.50% from other races, and 1.12% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 6.09% of the population.
It's a very white town. The "problem" seems to be that blacks aren't taking algebra I. The "solution" is to take algebra I away from the Whites and Asians who make up about 95% of the population.
I see it more and more clearly these days -- the constant formulation of "Victims and Victimizers" is NOT aimed at giving anything good to the "victims". The goal of the Left is ONLY to hurt the White people on the assumption that ALL Whites are "victimizers". So hurt them.
On multiple occasions in high school, I heard a black male say to another “why are you acting white?” for reading the textbook.
By an amazing amount, the worst thing for blacks is other blacks.

Americans need to awaken to what is happening here in America. The government and Elite appear not to want and educate people who could be a threat to them and their class. Pay attention and you will see they like Kamala Harris are trying to destroy anyone that could threaten their power. They have dumbed down our Educational System and they send their kids to certain schools. They are trying to wipe out White America because they have enough control of their Black Slave owners and traders they can take America. Think about what I have just said and then research or just pay close attention and you will see this is a fact.
