A 3-year-old Florida boy struck and killed a 7-year-old child while behind the wheel of a golf cart this week, authorities said.
The toddler was approaching a curve near his home in Buckingham when he lost control of the cart and steered into the 7-year-old boy standing in his front yard around 4 p.m. Monday, the Florida Highway Patrol told The Post.
The older child was rushed in critical condition to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Yikes! Florida Man™ gets an early start as a Florida Toddler™.
” why is a 3 year old driving a golf cart?”
He was the only one that was sober
Best answer I’ve seen so far.
The kid is a criminal! You must be 18 to drive a golf cart with drivers license. That new law just went into affect July 1st.
He was heading to the DMV to register to vote as a Democrat in the 2024 election...
On a more serious note, I can't imagine a toddler driving a golf cart unless some older person was able to teach him. I'm thinking there's an adult behind all of this who is hiding behind the scenes, hoping he (or she) doesn't get any blame for the incident.
Also, and I might be mistaken, but don't you have to keep your foot on the pedal to keep it moving? Otherwise the brakes kick in? I can't imagine a toddler being tall enough to sit in the seat and work the pedals.
All true. Plus, golf carts have keys. An adult had to leave the key in the cart.
I remember visiting Florida back in the 80s, when, instead of giving them golf carts, the old people in the retirement village just had giant tricycles to tool around in. Probably less fatalities with those.
Was he sitting on an adult’s lap?
Golf carts in my small town by the Gulf are out of control and is a topic of every city council meeting.
Haha, no these were actually pedal-powered tricycles the seniors were riding around in Florida back then, not ATVs.
I hafta wonder what qualifies as a "toddler" from the press.
Kindof akin to them calling 17yo ferrals "children".. 🙄
That’s what I’d like to know! Also, where were the parents of both the perpetrator and the victim?!
Definitely less harmful. The golf carts have hurt and killed quite a few all over Florida.
The Amish use those in Sarasota.
What is it with golf carts in neighborhoods now? I just don’t understand why they are necessary. If where you need to go is that far away, get in your car.
My guess is that daddy moron thought it was cute for his 3 year old to drive the cart. If so, book’im Dano.
