9 The Passion Of The Christ 2004

Public perception of this movie wasn’t helped by Mel Gibson’s overt anti-Semitism, but The Passion of the Christ clearly depicts the Jewish people as the cause of Jesus Christ’s death, an unfortunate misconception that has resulted in an unknown (but certainly extremely high) number of Jewish deaths over the years.

The Godfather had the most racist line I have ever heard from anyone:

“They are animals anyway...”

I guess the censors have not figured it out—yet.

“ I especially dislike Poitier's role.”

A shame to put such a great actor in such a role. Poitier (and Rod Steiger) were unbelievably good in “In the Heat of The Night.” One of my all time favorite flicks.

“ The Godfather had the most racist line I have ever heard from anyone‘

but I think the whole purpose of that line was to show how racist and evil mob bosses were.

This list is silly, but if you truly believe “there is no racism in the world” you’re a fool. Stunningly obtuse comment.

The Passion of the Christ clearly depicts the Jewish people as the cause of Jesus Christ’s death

Even Roman records show that his cause of death was the Jewish leadership.

No, Blazing Saddles was not racist, it was satirical. It couldn’t be racist, as Richard Pryor helped write the screenplay.

John 10

17 Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.

18 No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father

Jesus, a Jew, lay down His life by his own power alone! He rose again by the same devine power, AMEN!

Matthew 20:17-19

17 While Jesus was going up to Jerusalem, he took the twelve disciples aside by themselves, and said to them on the way, 18 ‘See, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be handed over to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn him to death; 19 then they will hand him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged and crucified; and on the third day he will be raised.’

“ Bruce Lee refused for the Kato part.”

No, Bruce did play Kato. Bruce created the the concept for the show Kung Fu but was rejected in the role of Caine because he was “too Asian”. David Carradine ended up getting the role. Bruce was so pissed he left Hollywood and went to Asia where he made his classic martial arts movies.

Try posting that video and your explanation on it in most online forums—you would be banned in nanoseconds.

In Blazing Saddles every white person was portrayed as an uncivilized, low-life, brain-dead moron.

So yeah, I guess it was a pretty racist movie.

But still damn funny.

Yep, and Leni Riefenstahl documentaries like “Triumph of the Will” are also (or at least circa around 20 years ago still were) required viewing in film school for their technical qualities.
