Obviously we would never be able to train her not to kill cats. We have found a shock collar to be very effective at training out bad habits. You dont use the shock feature for anything other than the bad habit or it will confuse the dog. But I might suggest, with a cat subject behind a safe barrier or cage, shocking the dog as it approaches the cat. We have done this to train or dog not to approach snakes or other wild animals. Very quickly it should learn to avoid cats altogether. Of course, your mileage may vary.
