A Georgia mayor was held at gunpoint after he allegedly trespassed into a home he dreamed of owning, according to reports.

South Fulton Mayor Khalid Kamau was arrested Saturday morning around 6:52 a.m., after a man called police to report a trespasser at his home on Cascade Palmetto Highway, WSB-TV reported.

Officers arrived on scene and were told by the homeowner his phone alerted him Kamau was on the property. The homeowner quickly got dressed and watched as Kamau reportedly walked up the driveway toward the lakehouse home before allegedly entering.

The homeowner reportedly retreated to his truck to call police before Kamau exited the home, prompting the homeowner to hold Kamau at gunpoint and telling him to “stay put,” according to the report.

Kamau allegedly then screamed at the homeowner, “Do you know who the f*** I am? I’m the mayor, and I’ll wait for my police to get here and see what happens then.”

Kamau reportedly told authorities he was heading toward the dog park but detoured to see his dream home. The mayor reportedly told police he knew he was trespassing and that when he exited the home the homeowner allegedly said to him, “No, M*F*, you stay right there.”

Kamau then alleged he tried to identify himself to the homeowner but the victim alleged cocked his gun and said, “If you take another step, I’m going to shoot you.”

“Are you going to shoot me while I’m walking away?” Kamau told police he said to the homeowner, according to WSB-TV.

Kamau was released Saturday afternoon on a $11,000 bond after he was booked in Fulton County jail for criminal trespass and first-degree burglary, according to the report.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Better question, perhaps... did voters know who he was when they elected him?

Yes they did, and they were perfectly ok with it, because he was the right skin color.

I doubt the homeowner cared the F*%& who he claimed to be, much less if he really was.

Bad sense of entitlement.

Years ago I was walking my dog in a nearby park, at night, for our before bedtime stroll. My dog was very well behaved but even so I always kept in on a leash in the park, as the local law says we have to do.

One night in the park, my dog and I encountered a beligerant dog that would not leave us alone and twice tried to attack my dog. After each attempt he’d wander away, but later come back at us again. Suddenly a jogger was running by and she called out a name in a loud voice, and the beligerant dog ran over to her. I yelled at the woman inquiring if it was her dog. She said it was. I yelled for her to put the dog on a leash as the law requires. She yelled back “It’s O.K., I’m a cop”.

I cought uo with her and demanded her badge number. She asked why and I told her just being a cop does not put her above the law. She refused to give me her badge number and added “You don’t know who the %^%$ I am”. I said “I don’t care who you are, the law is the law.” She answered “I’m the mayor’s daughter”.

I did report the incident to the police. Nothing came of it. but I never did again see her jogging with her dog in the park.

He’s a black Democrat ang thus exempt from the law.

He’ll be found not guilty and the homeowner will be arrested on gun charges.

Police arrested the socialist mayor of South Fulton, Georgia, this weekend, after he illegally trespassed into a resident’s home.

Khalid Kamau, a vocal Democratic Socialist and cofounder of the Atlanta chapter of Black Lives Matter, is charged with first-degree trespass and burglary after a homeowner caught him entering his home on Saturday.

Homeowner Jack Lecroy said he confronted Kamau with his gun after he received a security alert on his phone that someone was on his property. Kamau began to walk away from the house and Lecroy shouted for him to stop and wait for police.

“I don’t have to listen to you, and you can’t give me orders,” the socialist mayor yelled in response, according to police reports. He then screamed profanities at the homeowner. He later said that he wanted to see the home because he’d like to live there and was aware that he was criminally trespassing.

“The City of South Fulton is committed to upholding the law and ensuring that all individuals, regardless of their position, are subject to the same fair and just treatment. As the investigation is still ongoing, we are unable to provide further details at this time,” the city said in a statement. Councilwoman Natasha Williams-Brown will step in to serve as acting mayor.

Kamau has served as the leader of the Atlanta chapter of Democratic Socialists of America and advocates for socialism.

“Democratic Socialists believe our country should be run by real, working people—not big corporations & billionaires,” Kamau says on his website. He further calls for defunding police and cutting military spending.

The Mayor has an interesting relationship with the City Council.

SOURCE From the Atlanta Constitution-Journal:

“According to an incident report obtained by Channel 2, Kamau decided to venture onto a private property on Cascade Palmetto Highway because he was interested in purchasing the home there, he told police. The homeowner then confronted Kamau, pulled out a gun and told him to stay until authorities arrived, the report stated. The mayor said he believed the residence was abandoned, according to the news station.”
...
<><>”In March, five of the seven members of South Fulton’s city council filed a lawsuit to throw Kamau out of office.
<><>The civil rights case was filed in the Fulton County Superior Court and alleges Kamau violated the city charter.

<><>”“The mayor has repeatedly betrayed the confidence of the City and the City Council by intentionally and knowingly disclosing confidential information of the City for his and others’ personal benefit since his election to office,” says the filing by council members Carmalitha Gumbs, Corey Reeves, Jaceey Sebastian, Natasha Williams and Helen Willis.

<><>“Most recently, it has come plaintiffs’ attention that the mayor has been recording the confidential executive sessions of the City Council — for his and others’ personal benefit—— against the expressed wishes of City Council members.””

Maybe he thought the home was abandoned?

Story doesn't make sense, unless he thought no one was living there?
