Pew Research Center published the results of its new survey on June 28. While climate alarmists’ predictions have been consistently and wildly wrong for 50 years now, with one unscientific claim after another proven false, the media, government, and institutions continue pounding in the narrative — and with some apparently considerable effects:
74% of Americans say they support the country’s participation in international efforts to reduce the effects of climate change. 67% of U.S. adults prioritize the development of alternative energy sources such as wind, solar and hydrogen power over increasing the production of fossil fuel energy sources. I have previously explained in more detail how “green” energy is actually toxic for the environment, besides being inefficient and unprofitable. In other words, “green” energy is a lose-lose option. Solar panels and wind turbines have killed billions of birds, for instance, and offshore wind turbines can be deadly for whales (not to mention, wind turbines and solar panels generate plenty of toxic waste). And those “green” electric vehicles (EV)? EV batteries, which have to be replaced every few years, are very toxic to manufacture and dispose of.
[Pew:] Less than half of the public (40%) favors phasing out the production of gas-powered cars and trucks. Support for this policy is 7 percentage points lower than it was two years ago. And underscoring the strong feelings big changes to American life can engender, 45% say they would feel upset if gas-powered cars were phased out; fewer than half as many (21%) would feel excited.
You mean Americans don’t want to switch to unreliable electric cars that have to depend upon an already strained grid? No way!

“..9the BIGGEST group of folks who will suffer with EVs are the poor and people living in cities/in apartments..”
The delicious irony of that is they voted for it!

Makes it easier to understand how so many took clot shot after clot shot…
One of Victor D Hanson’s favorite and oft-repeated themes is how the bicoastal elites hate the middle class and the poor. They NEVER suffer from the policies they impose on us. If they live in a big city, they can afford to pay $100,000 per year for a GARAGE in their building with their own charger. They have absolutely no clue what life is like for the average worker in the USA. They hate the little people who take care of their cars, deliver their food, fix their houses, take care of them when sick, mow their lawns, etc.
These vacuous “intellectuals” are the bane of us all.
I’d wager that 3/4 of them live in cities and have no need for a private vehicle at all. The other one-quarter are the insane libs that are all around us that vote for communism.

Why is anyone getting their shorts in a knot over this poll??
When you boil it down to it’s essence, “global warming” (the filth have tried to re-package it as “climate change”) is the biggest financial/political/control hoax in the history of mankind and the perpetrators the worst of the worst.
There is no such a thing as a fossil fuel
“Given that the truth is largely suppressed and actual ‘science’ is prohibited from the public square, the extent of ignorance is not surprising.”
The last thing these scammers want out there is the truth.
Dunno they’re pretty stupid!
Questioning how many “Americans” believe the climate change hoax except that it IS a hoax. There is no big clamor for EVs either & if you realistically consider the problems connected with them, it’s a wonder there is any enthusiasm for them. Hardly a day goes by but what another strike against them doesn’t come up. I still feel that one of the big problems is yet to hit. That will come when someone buys a used EV & then finds out a short time later that the high priced battery is at the point of failure. Considering what a battery costs now, it is hard to say what the cost will be in the future. Of course they are sold with the idea of operating economically because they don’t use gasoline. And they are theoretically “saving the climate”. Both reasons could be wrong for owning one.
There have been some articles on this site in the past explaining just why oil from the ground is not a fossil fuel, but then it wouldn’t be so easy for the government & some other entities to convince the public that the fuel supplies are so easily exhaustible & the need for “renewables” is here. Of course, there’s also the “climate change” hoax.
