It would have been useful if the author had reprinted the actual notice. Often, instead of pronoun confusion the worst point is organization producing the notice will avoid mention of race or skin color. If I am supposed to be looking for a person then tell me something inherent and invariable about the person rather than the color of his hat.
I was making that complaint to a liberal acquaintance and she was winding up to use the "racist" accusation against me, but I jumped in ahead of her and said "... unless you think there is something wrong or shameful about being black that needs to be hidden.". She looked like a sci-fi robot trying to handle contradictory information until she just stomped off.
Meanwhile, everyone is en fuego about the pronouns thing instead of wondering how much child protective services knew and when they knew it.
