The flame wars of 2012(Romney) and 2016(Cruz/Trump) come to mind.

Most every thread, except for ours, seems to devolve into insults, flamebaiting, shilling, etc.

While I read other threads at times, I no longer engage, except for here.

The TFT thread is how I remember FR when I joined in 1998 after lurking for more than a year. Lots of shared knowledge, humor and civility.
