Every hospital has a Managed Care Caseworker, and his/her opinion overrides the opinion of the attending physician.
You got post 6000! 🎊
nope, all over the world, I will start posting where it is if they describe it.
Swimming is great. You work so many muscles.
Every hospital has a Managed Care Caseworker, and his/her opinion overrides the opinion of the attending physician.
Scary.
Socialized Medicine scary.
I’d prefer my own doc make the choice.
Have had to fight tooth and nail, for loved ones, with these MCCs.
6000 nicely done...just as i was dozing
it’s ok, open competition.
When my kids were at home, I put 1 Bay leaf in the spaghetti sauce. They were all excited to be the one to get it, until one asked what they get for it, and I told them they get to wash the dishes. Ha!
Now that they can do it laparoscopic you don’t have the big incision or cut ribs like they used to. So they send you home.
I learned something new. Each lung is divided into lobes—the left lung has two and the right lung has three—which are similar to balloons filled with sponge-like tissue.
His cancer was in his right lung bottom (third lobe) They go in through a very small incision snip, snip, snip, put it in a bag and bring it back out though the small incision. I still don’t see how they can do that.
Congrats, STARLIT 🏆
That’s a great timing goal! Before WR!!
when I had my cancer surgery I was in the hospital 10 days, and my mouth was healing good. They found a few cells afterwards, had me go in as out patient, and that surgery did NOT heal well. But insurance is why they did it.
..........
great report, things are happening!
I’m jealous!
We were supposed to get some rain today, it clouded up but was just a tease, nope, nothing, nada.
We need it bad, have another fire not too far from here but sounds like they whomped on it and have a handle on it.
It’s called the Guzzler Fire, 1516 acres burned with a 22% containment.
Actually it isn't related to socialized medicine. It's related to insurance companies wanting to minimize expenses.
The dirty little secret is that hospitals want to prolong the death of a person in his/her final illness to milk Medicare and gap insurance to the maximum possible. There is no malice in the hearts of the medical profession when they do this. There is nothing personal. It's just business, and damn good business.
The purpose of the Managed Care Caseworker is to minimize the hospital's rake-off.
It is the duty of the family to insist that the medical profession explain in layman's terms what is going on. The family has to hammer the medical profession constantly to get a straight answer. Failing to do that plays into the hands of the hospital.
Well I used to swim, but after my last surgery I can’t swim because of my neck. I can do the frog backwards, and basically run and do other exercises in the water. I was doing an aerobics class but that put too much strain on my neck so I just started doing 20 minutes of what I can do, then enjoy the hot tub.
Amazing what modern medicine can do.
The physicians just want to prescribe drugs instead of finding out what is causing problems. Then they make decisions based on statistics which comes from insurance and pharmaceutical companies. And what brings in the most money. No individual care.
interesting, thanks.
