“I’m glad I didn’t watch this despicable hearing as I would have destroyed my TV......”

They haven’t got like this yet, but that might be quite entertaining.

Just had to look this up.....

What’s The Difference Between Hot Dogs And Frankfurters?

Do you know the saying: All squares are rectangles, but not all rectangles are squares? Well, the same thing is true when it comes to hot dogs and frankfurters. All hot dogs are frankfurters, but not all frankfurters would be considered hot dogs. Despite the fact that they share similar histories and meat fillings, hot dogs and traditional frankfurter sausages are nonetheless distinct foods. And though there is some dispute over whether the frankfurter sausage originated in Germany or Austria, today, this family of processed meats represents over 25% of the sausages sold in the U.S.

Just as you can go to the grocery store and browse a number of different hot dog brands, each with its own unique recipe, there is still a common flavor thread of salt, smoke, and spice. The same is true with the traditional European frankfurters. They vary in meat and spice choice, but a commonality of flavor and cultural heritage binds them together. As immigrant sausage makers assimilated into American life and culture, their sausages began to change to reflect the tastes of their new home.

Though we use the terms hot dog, frank, and wiener interchangeably as if they are the same thing, they are not. Yes, they are all members of the same sausage family, but there are distinctive characteristics that differentiate them from one another. The hot dog may be a natural evolution, but they are by no means traditional frankfurters.

Traditional frankfurters and wieners

Two European cities, Frankfurt and Vienna both lay claim to inventing the frankfurter. Legally, however, only sausages that come from Frankfurt carry the official name Frankfurter WĂĽrstchen. These sausages are long, slim, with a firm texture, and made purely of pork seasoned with salt, pepper, garlic, sugar, mustard powder, and nutmeg. The meat is ground into a paste, encased in lambs intestines, cured, smoked, and then cooked. Locally, these sausages are only cooked in water, never subjected to direct heat, and are not served on buns.

You can, however, cook other similar sausages in a variety of ways, like the Frankfurter WĂĽrstel, a smaller sausage closer in shape and size to Viennese wieners, and Frankfurter Rindswurst, a pure beef variety that carries the frankfurter name, but is described by traditionalists as “Nach Frankfurter Art” meaning they are frankfurters, but not from Frankfurt.

Vienna sausages are essentially identical to the Frankfurter WĂĽrstel, and are commonly referred to as such in the city. Though they are smaller than German frankfurters, they are no less flavorful. Viennese sausages can be made with an amalgamation of meats such as pork, beef, poultry, or combinations of the three. Vienna sausages typically come canned but can also be fermented and dried, making them closer in consistency to a salami. As Germany and Austria share similar cultural customs, it’s no wonder their sausages share similar characteristics. This would prove key to the development of hot dogs in America.

Romney says, “As you all know hotdogs are my favorite meat. I love hot dogs. I love them in buns. I love them outside of buns. I love them with baked beans. I just love hot dogs,....”

I don’t see anything wrong with what he said. Hotdogs are a kind of meat, but for it to be his favorite meat that is strange. I know of a lot better kinds of meat.

Judy you said you only know of it as a hotdog if in a bun. What do you call it when in beans or macaroni or other foods one might pair it with?

I admit he does look creepy. Something about those eyes.

Ha! I was thinking about a government brawl in, I think Taiwan.
GMTA! I just saw a video of Tim Ballard testifying before Senate committee on building the wall in 2019.

Talking about the horrid conditions and being raped many times every day, and all Feinstein could ask wS if he knew about the conditions children were kept under Border Patrol.

We were never a “family” after my mom and father divorced (he was not a good man). Then my mom married my step-father, (he wasn’t a good man either but in a different way), he would have us kids split up in different places all the time. Sometimes back with our father. Sometimes with other people, but rarely us 3 kids together.

After my brother got out of the service and re-married he settled in Indiana for awhile. He then came out to Portland OR. to work but one day he was gone with his wife and her child. Nobody heard a word from him. 13 years went by and I said to my father, I know he worked for you at one time so surely you have his Social Security No. I said write them a letter to see if they could tell you where he is at. The SS wrote back and said they couldn’t say but to write a letter and address it to my brother and send it to them, then they could forward it on but it would be up to him if he wanted to reply back. This was about 1975/76. He did eventually reply and we had had a little mini reunion with him while I still lived in Calif. But it has ALWAYS been me pushing the relationship. After what he said, I thought to myself no more. The same thing with my sister who lives just out of Couer d’ Alene, Idaho. Only an 2 1/2 hour drive from here. I have been the one to say hey do you want to Skype etc. We are both on facebook and I decided to not post anything to see if she ever notices or not. It has been since about April and no message from her or Skyping. I am just finally tired of being the one to try and have a relationship.

Like I said our family was split a long time ago. :-(

Macaroni with wieners? Wieners and beans? Do you call it hot dogs and beans when it’s just the wiener with the beans? I don’t know - frankly (no pun intended) I don’t even eat them lol.

And people will allow CIA/MSM to tell them a tornado did this?

To these old eyes, that scene looks very much like:

1) At least two fairly energetic demolition charges along the near side of the building. (Carefully located to restrict blast effects to "warehouse" while sparing the "office building" immediately to the right)

2) Perhaps three smaller charges at each of the "loading docks"(?) on the left end. (Again located to prevent damage to structures adjacent further to the left.)

Tornado?

Not

Even

In

A

Movie

Script

I hear you, Spunky, I really do. My “family of origin” was pretty messed up as well. There wasn’t much I could fix with them, but I did what I could and have one brother with whom I can share emails and keep up with his family.

It’s because of this that I put my emphasis on the family I have....I am very grateful to God for my daughter, SIL, son, DIL (soon) and my 4 grandkids. I would do anything for any of them.

You sound like the same kind of person when it comes to your family, Spunky.
