Scott is right in what he says. I want to add that Obama should recognize the history of the Democratic party: slavery, segregation, KKK, and systemic racism to include:
a) incitement to riot in black neighborhoods
b) family busting government welfare
c) locking generations of blacks into low quality government schools
d) illegal immigration, taking jobs from black Americans.

Baracks philosophy to help the poor is, well democrats in general is , just give the poor enough to survive... then theyll be dependent on the govt (or criminal activity). Instead of promoting self sufficiency and family values..they opt for dependence and enable crime. And the impoverished are happy to oblige. Of course they can never rise above with this attitude so they simply exist never wanting more for themselves just more from Uncle Sam.
