An Homo naledi group carry one of their dead into Rising Star cave in this artist's depiction. New evidence that these small-brained hominins may have practiced deliberate burial throws a curve into current thinking on human evolution.

Not so hard to learn that if something stinks, cover it with dirt?

I keep telling people that size doesn’t matter. :)
Homo democrati has a brain as big as other modern humans
but they probably wouldn’t be smart enough to bury their own dead.

Named Homo naledi, the species is characterized by its small size—including a brain roughly a third the size of today’s humans

Obviously liberals.

It begs he question - how much of the size of the brain is related to functionality and how much just to ability to store information. Is greater brain size due to greater (more complex) functionality or just more, and more complex information handling. One wonders.

Stopped reading at “a mysterious human species...”. If one cannot write the truth, one should not write. Instead, one should open The Bible and read beginning with Genesis 1:1: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” This is where truth and knowledge and wisdom begin and reside, for all to read, learn from and comprehend.

How is Genesis a license to ignore physical evidence?

Also definitely from California.

The physical evidence supports Genesis. Always has. It also supports the cataclysmic flood of Noah’s experience.

Well, my only concern here is to keep people like you from killing themselves in the event their belief system takes a major hit. Just stay flexible, and prepare to salvage what is left of your Faith. There is nothing more I need to do here.

I have long suspected that a huge portion of brain activity is ‘operating system’
While you may have one or a few conscious thoughts going on for a given task or tasks, they can instantly be preempted by a touch on your arm or a loud sound or something else that demands immediate attention.
