Dump AH Stock now..........
Perhaps they can bring back Spuds Mackenzie
Yuengling just continues to increase market share. Amazing.
Targeted weaponized boycotts work.
Those who drink alone will be hoarding cases of Bud Light.
It’s the cheap alcohol they are after, even if that means drinking it out of a penis shaped can.
Cut the price in half and watch it disappear out the back door.
And this is AFTER AB was giving away Bud Light.
Bud Light has gone light.
And the ugly, lefty marketing exec. chick responsible for the Mulvaney ad is still on leave and hasn’t been fired.
I’m not surprised.
I’ve been casually observing the activity in the beer aisle of my grocery store on my weekly trips. For a while, you could see that the Bud products just weren’t moving, while Miller, Coors and especially Yuengling seemed to be selling quite robustly.
Finally, in the past couple of weeks, the Bud presence has been vastly diminished to almost nothing while Yuengling has gained much more space in both the refrigerated and unrefrigerated beer sections. Coors and Miller have also increased their footprints and the craft beers have remained about the same.
It’s brewed with rice. Advertised right on the box. That isn’t beer - it’s sake.
They keep calling it a boycott. It may be a boycott by some, but really it’s more of an affinity thing. They destroyed the perception of the brand among its core drinkers. I bet most of them don’t care about Dylan Mulvaney; they just don’t associate themselves as that kind of person so they don’t drink that kind of person’s beer. It’s very simple.
They should’ve stuck with the Clydesdales.
It’s also a government satisfaction boycott, like the Boston Tea Party. It’s the problem root.
Lost revenue is one thing but beer is made in batch process factories and this big a change in demand will have a disruptive effect on operations and costs.
Very cold Yuengling is about the smoothest best tasting beer I’ve ever tried. Extremely refreshing it goes down fast. (That’s the downside).
Be like a conehead, drink hard liquor.
It’s not a boycott. It’s just former customers responding appropriately to advertising.
I was at a Fayetteville AR Walmart today. In the men’s athletic clothing section were shorts with the blue Bud Light logo on them. I just laughed and went on by.
Executives at American corporations are not smarter than you and me. They are just lucky. Bud light is another proof of it. Imagine you were decision maker and someone bring up this idea of sponsoring LGBT and trans in a big ad. What would you think ? So easy decision. But they blew it
Correct, the brand is dead Jim. Create a completely new brand, call it whatever the hell you want to that is not remotely similar to Budd, sell the same swill you’re brewing now under that new brand and and move on.
