The PGA Tour, European Tour and rival Saudi-backed LIV Golf circuit announced a landmark agreement on Tuesday to merge and form a commercial entity to unify golf.
Additionally, the three organizations said in a joint news release that they will work cooperatively to allow a process for any LIV Golf players to reapply for PGA Tour and DP World Tour membership following the 2023 season.
"After two years of disruption and distraction, this is a historic day for the game we all know and love," PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan said in a joint news release.

Sounds like a giant monopoly.
I saw this coming. LIV is running out of money and the other tours are upping guaranteed events.
I don’t like it b/c it will forever doom some tournaments to secondary status (like the Honda Classic - soon to have a new sponsor), and also limit the opportunities for borderline tour players.
SIX-TIMES MAJOR WINNER PHIL MICKELSON, ONE OF THE BIGGEST NAMES TO JOIN LIV SERIES
"Awesome day today"
I guess Brooks Koepka is this generation’s Joe Namath? His win at the PGA Championship was probably the tipping point.
Is this the end of the controversy then?
Pretty much
LIV and let LIV......................
We hate Saudi’s... But we love their money?
The PGA is making a terrible move... 54 hole tournaments? Everybody gets to wear shorts? Everybody makes money, no cuts?
They are ruining golf and taking blood money to do it with... Sad, but true. Now all the a-holes that they thought they got rid of, are now back to say ‘told you so’.
Well, they were right all along. Blame the PGA for creating the opportunity for LIV.
Wonder how that pay structure is gonna work?
There was a reason that nobody watched LIV golf... It was boring, banal and unwatchable. Golf is not a team sport... It is you against the course, not you against a team.
This is disgusting stuff, but Jay Monahan is obviously richer today than he was yesterday... I wonder... Does he even play golf?
The USGA and the R&A should disassociate themselves from the PGA/LIV nonsense.
Money all around.
Smiles all around.
Its a financial hole-in-one!
It’s in the hole!
Blood money.
Several top golphers made out like bandits. Phil Mickleson received a $200 million signing bonus to join LIV and Brooks Koepka $100 million. Presumably they won’t have to pay that back…insane money. LIV was hemorrhaging in ratings and interest, so they needed this more than the PGA.
*golfers* not golphers! :-)
Oh that’s nice.
Always good to do business with the sharia-compliant government of a country where Christianity and all signs and practice of it is forbidden, the involved fund - PIF 20230 - is named 2030 after the globalists ideal to destroy civilization, gays are put to death or lashed 500 times, and women require male guardianship and are treated as children or slaves.
Didn’t Mickleson once say he was a Christian? Will thanks to Jesus be tolerated?
Will women be allowed to attend these tournaments? Will they be required to wear body bags or just stand behind some barrier?
I don’t think it’s worked out the way the Saudis expected. They’re looking to get out without losing too much money. The PGA was in control in these negotiations.
