Steve Scalise is the Majority Whip, and 10% of his caucus didn’t vote for the measure.
Some Whipping there, Stevie-boy!
Scalise told Anna Paulina Luna, the author of the measure, he would support her.
But then, she being a freshman Congresswoman, the GOP had to teach her a lesson and embarrass her.
Politiccs over Principle—the motto of the GOP!
Now, let’s speed up that $$$$ gravy train!!
Massie heard from on his NO vote.

Allowing a majority of Congress to take $16 million (92 years of pay) from any member of Congress is shortsighted.
Can we not imagine a time when this precedent would be used against conservatives?
Fortunately it failed.
I’m told a Constitutional version will be offered now.
Eff the GOP!
Adam Schiff is a traitor.
A leaker of classified information.
And yet 20 GOP Congress critters could not do the right thing!
But next year, they all will be crowing about how they are “fighting for you in DC”.
Great show, fellas!
The GOP is the Washington Generals to the Harlem Globetrotters.
This is why we still have Obamacare, 13 years later!
We are tired of the act.
I thought they wanted to fine him $16,000,000.00 for his crimes.
People have to pay large sums of money all the time if they’re guilty of crimes or misconduct. However long they would take to earn that is completely irrelevant. That’s what insurance policies are for.
Am I missing something? Did Alex Jones not have to pay his ridiculous fine because it would take him years to earn that money?
Massie could have worked this out well before the vote, if that was the issue for him or anyone else.
That just means Scalise and McCarthy let this go to the floor knowing it would fail.
Massie is trying to take the high ground now.
The damage is done.
Hakeem Jeffries is celebrating his victory.
Hey thanks. I am getting fat on cake today. That is a nice one!
A reporter just told Greta that she was interviewing Schitt after the vote and APL did a drive by.
APL said she would be filing again next week.
She ain’t done folks.
Massie said that APL’s resolution was unconstitutional, not sure why.
He did say he would vote for one that was.
So Schitt isn’t out of the woods yet and better keep his yap shut.

20 Republicans voted against the recommended fine, censure, and investigation of Schiff. I don’t think they read the bill in entirety. Next week, we will be filing a motion to censure and investigate Schiff. We are removing fine as that seems to be what made these Republicans uneasy.

Nailed it. Hopefully those people are wise enough to know that Suarez has no chance so why waste their vote? GOPe behind this prank because RDS is kind of a dud.
I think Granny is too busy for a lot of cake bakin’.
Ahhh so there it is. They didn’t dare take any money away from Schitt, because they know how damned mad it would make them if they lost a penny of their government teat bling.
Massie has something to hide or else he wants elevation in the GOPe. He is showing a lot of weakness lately.
Who would like to be here right now?

There is no scenario in which any candidate other than Trump will be able to withstand and weather the 24/7 storm of deep state sabotage that we are seeing.
And if Trump is not victorious against all this lawfare, there is no future for any republican in office, ever.

I want to win the general election.
There is no scenario where Trump can do that.
His legal problems are poison to moderates, independents, and a good portion of conservatives.

Yes, way too busy but I can whip up a cake in a pinch.😁
Cardillo is a snake who turned on Trump and cast his lot with the Meatball.
