The truth matters, so whether MacGregor is deranged or Zelensky is a dog of the deep state are largely irrelevant. I added the "deranged" comment because MacGregor has been making such boneheadedly wrong pronouncements for over a year now, and I can't think of any other explanation besides some kind of mania.

For an army supposedly spent, Russia seems to have made curiously little advance after raising 250-300k additional troops last fall.

I thought Ukraine was winning.

That would make sense, because the Russian army has been forced to retreat from many areas, leaving a lot of dead and captured Russian soldiers behind.

But in the strange world of Russian propaganda somehow the side that is getting "decimated" is able to drive the other side out of most of the land it captured early in the war.

I encourage looking at the actual situation, not relying on propaganda from somebody like MacGregor. His record in predictions about the war is a pretty good indicator that what he says is not true.

The word “decimated” comes from Roman times when it meant culling 10% of troops as punishment. Words change. In modern English it means severe losses.
