I think this form of writing is disrespectful. You can call bad things bad without making allusions to a crime where millions were murdered in a torturous way. It trivializes Holodomor.

Big businesses are much more convenient for the government to control and thus control the economy and the population. The small businesses can slip through the cracks and ignore from some stupid regulations. Big businesses are eager for the government regulation because protected monopoly status eventuates.
