LOL I tried it. Typed in “Shoplifting” on DDGo.
I scrolled down at least 6 pages before I saw a black person. There was even an Asian guy before anyone black.
It was the same on google

Brave is using their own search engine, but still has Google/Bing for image results.
While Micro$oft is (probably) less evil than Google, their results are often pretty crappy comparatively.
