Lots of masks everywhere in So Cal. Confusing, since I learned in March 2020 that masks are harmful and not helpful. Where do people where masks now? Banks, supermarkets, rest homes, doctor’s offices. It is spiritual and patriotic Christian places have less masks than non-patriotic and non-Christian places.
In the Seattle area lots of Asians wearing them now. I suppose it makes them feel at home and they don’t feel as odd about wearing them now.
But also LOTS of kids and teens wearing them walking home from school. Even saw a kid playing soccer on a beautiful clear spring day with his mask on! I was tempted to give him some friendly advice and to enjoy the fresh clean air but figured I better not.
Possibly because such people have faith that our maker gave us a robust immune system that we can trust above all else.
Maybe also that whoever attempted to make a powerfully dangerous virus could not have had the wisdom of eternity on their side, and were bound to fail to make something persistent if not fail outright.
Following a trip to Northern California, a mask enthusiast that I know gushed about how Northern Californians are so much more responsible than Southerners because they were still wearing masks. I told her that I had just attended a demonstration against a mask mandate at a local school district, and she said she would now have to stay away from me because I might give her the China virus (she didn’t call it that) just because I was at an anti-mask protest.
