Georgia parents were arrested for child abuse and negligence after their starving 10-year-old son was found wandering their neighborhood looking for a grocery store where he could beg for food.
They said the boy was intentionally starved and weighed only about 36 pounds when he was rescued, nearly the weight of an average 4-year-old.
The parents were accused of locking the child inside his bedroom and leaving him alone in the home for “extended periods of time, and on multiple occasions, with no access to lights, food, clothing or adult interaction and/or assistance,” according to court documents.
They also allegedly withheld hot water, views of the outside, toilet paper and human interaction from the 10-year-old, and even beat him at one point, causing further injuries.

They look pretty healthy for meth heads. I would venture they were just sadists who enjoyed torturing and abusing their child.
“I weighed 60lbs when I was 10 years old. I wasn’t being starved, I was just a scrawny kid.”
That’s understandable for an active kid. This child is almost half that weight at age 10.
I weighed 98 when I got married at aged 17. I wasn’t starved, I was just a picky eater and active. This child didn’t even have the opportunity to be a picky eater and an active child.
Photos at the link show a happy normal looking couple.
Goes to show you never what goes on behind closed doors.
People like this tend not to live very long in prison.
In the past the abused child was often the step child and that is still true today. That is where the phrase "beat like a red headed step child" comes from. But once again there are exceptions and the child selected may be biologically the child of the parents and a full sibling to the rest.
It is a very weird sort of family dynamic and the parents usually maintain that they are doing nothing wrong that it is all the scapegoated child's fault. That they are difficult, rebellious, destructive or even insane and the parents are just trying to control them.
And there is the flip side. Sometimes out of several kids there is one who is "difficult, rebellious, destructive or even insane" and the parents are legitimately just trying to control them.
Probably not the case here through.
You may be right about the meth-head analysis. I think druggies might be less of a reach though than sadism.
It’s cases like this that make me a real fan of the OT eye for an eye kind of justice.
He wanted 36
Weighed
The parents appear to have a pinterest account, and they are apparently “vegan” fans. I’ve always been of the opinion that only crazy nuts are vegans.

Griffin. South of Atlanta. Its not much.
Doc Holliday was from Giffin, GA. Perhaps LTC Allen Imes was quite a hero. In 1968 Major Imes was a superior officer when I met him. Imes was a real SF man.
You weighed 60 lbs, this kid weighs 36 lbs. Pretty big difference.
“They seem to pick one to torture and kill.”
This is pretty common I think. I remember a horrific story about some little girl in NYC who was singled out for abuse in her family. I think she ended up dead. And this was an intact biological family, iirc.
And yes, the NY family was lower class, these people clearly are not, but the insanity is the same.
A lot of these stories seem to be about autistic kids. They are different from the others, can be difficult to control, and the parents just grow to hate them.
You’re being too generous, a knife and these demons are allowed to live.
Sorry to post so late, I missed this story when it first came out. The parents weren’t meth-heads. They lived very wealthy lives. They owned a small business, a spa place. They took vacations.
What they did was treat this one child horribly. He is lucky to have gone to the store for food.
He and the other children will need a lot of counseling. The fact that the older kids never told anyone about their brother’s abuse shows that they were all being brainwashed. God help them all.
Thank you for the information. Just pure evil.
