Schizophrenics are particularly hard to help. They will agree to take their meds and other requests from a family member, and do it for a while, just to stop complying and descend back into their madness.
Most of them are harmless, except to themselves, but their loony talk can be pretty scary.
Sometimes the side effects make them feel terrible. It can take time for doctors to figure out what works best for them.
