Rumors that I had a heart attack are completely false. I am alive and healthy.

Up past the stroke of midnight balancing the checkbook.
Feels like a Monday, already.
My daughter got invited to join the Freshman class this Fall at the Charter High School a block from my house.
It’ll be nice to NOT have to get her 3 miles to the District High School and back every day; good old-fashioned pedal locomotion will fill the bill.
Beginning this year, their grade scale will not include D’s; you get an A, B, C or F.
I don’t expect it’ll make much difference as she’s been an Honor Roll student off and on through Middle School.
Still, it’s nice the school is throwing down the gauntlet and taking a strong stand in favor of academic rigor.
In early with this pedestrian performance:
I guessed this 5-letter word in 5/6 tries.
๐จโฌ๐จโฌโฌ
โฌโฌโฌ๐ฉ๐ฉ
โฌโฌโฌ๐ฉ๐ฉ
๐ฉโฌ๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ฉ
๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ฉ
Can you guess this word?

Congratulations to your daughter! I hope she likes the school and works hard.
This isn’t the daughter I made the blanket for, is it? I just saw her, just before I moved, so she can’t be old enough to be a Freshman. Can she?
But good for whichever daughter! My oldest grandson went to a Charter High School and graduated a year early, then went into the army and served in Afghanistan.
Great kitty pic!
Good morning. I hope you had a good night, and that you slept well.
Which badges did Kathleen earn?
The laundry is done except for the dainties and flat things that needed to be washed before the move, so I’ll hang them when I wake up.
Pam will come tomorrow to help me pack, so that will be good. I don’t know how long she’ll be here, but if she can stay two hours, we can get a lot done!
One of the first things I’m going to do when I get semi-settled is head for the shelter and see if they have any older kitties. I’m tired of being without a furry buddy.
Art, Sculpture, First Aid, Game Design. And they almost finished Swimming but ran out of time. DP may take her and Frank to the pool tonight; depends on the weather. They close the indoor pool if there’s a storm.
It’s gloomy this morning. Jake blames me.
G’day, Moose!
Sounds like a nice treat. Now I’M all hungry.
Good morning. Happy Monday!
The pain from surgery is down to an annoying discomfort. This really has been a good recovery.
We’ve had lots of rain here, but no flooding. Not like the area down by NYC. I’m glad not to be there. (shiver)
Not a great Wordle day. Maybe the rest of the day will make up for it.

That took you a lot of effort.
Yes, well once I guessed word 4 it was a game of “how many words rhyme?”
Good morning.
I’m glad to hear you’re healing well. Of course you’re always on my prayer list, so I’m not surprised.
Oh, dear. It must be Monday from the looks of that Wordle. Now Ah’m skeert ta do mah own!!
Good for Kathleen!
Here’s hoping for nice weather!
As soon as I move West, your weather will improve. ;o]
Good news on both counts... the recovery and the lack of flooding!
Good Monday Morning!
The restful part of the weekend on Sunday disappeared quickly... we ended up working outside in the pretty high heat adding a series of 5’ poles to support netting atop the fence between the backyard garden and the chicken yard...
All of a sudden they were escaping into the garden to feed on the plants and vegetables... Now that we have eliminated the aerial route, have to focus on under fence possibilities...
Lots of elimination and lots of noodling finally solved this Wordle...

Happy Monday, Wordlers!
The sun is shining but who knows for how long?
Long enough to get this tricksey one in.

So many words to choose from! LOL!
After 3 rows of all of those black squares, I didn’t have too many choices... I am not sure that I could have found another option for row 4...
Surprising how clever and determined chickens can be.
You’re not moving West until after Webelos camp!
Well, we got a bunch of new chickens this spring, Sapphire Gems, and they seem a lot more determined to get out of their yard... plus, we added a rooster and he has been flying over the fence into the garden regularly...
He didn’t seem to be bothering much, but seeing him in there has made a lot of the hens anxious to get in...
Just cut away some nasty Yaupon growing through the fence... found a small place where they have been squeezing under the fence... hoping that there is not another one...
