Up past the stroke of midnight balancing the checkbook.
Feels like a Monday, already.
My daughter got invited to join the Freshman class this Fall at the Charter High School a block from my house.
It’ll be nice to NOT have to get her 3 miles to the District High School and back every day; good old-fashioned pedal locomotion will fill the bill.
Beginning this year, their grade scale will not include D’s; you get an A, B, C or F.
I don’t expect it’ll make much difference as she’s been an Honor Roll student off and on through Middle School.
Still, it’s nice the school is throwing down the gauntlet and taking a strong stand in favor of academic rigor.

Congratulations to your daughter! I hope she likes the school and works hard.
This isn’t the daughter I made the blanket for, is it? I just saw her, just before I moved, so she can’t be old enough to be a Freshman. Can she?
But good for whichever daughter! My oldest grandson went to a Charter High School and graduated a year early, then went into the army and served in Afghanistan.
