From what I see blacks can mostly freely enter dominate white area (e.g. Trump rally) and have no issues, but I avoid dominate black areas.
No kidding! Blacks can go pretty much anywhere. Whites, not so much. My sympathy is over.
So I’m NOT going to think, I’ll just react emotionally and assumed everything is racism because that is how I have been programmed since birth.
TYPICAL....I wonder if the gets worked up if his fast food order is wrong??
Copy that. Every little thing that goes wrong is always put down to racism.
Sometimes even black people can be a$$holes and be treated as such, not because of the color of their skin, but because of the content of their character.
The democrats have deliberately and intentionally racheted up hatred and suspicion among blacks for whites, and among Hispanics for “Anglos.” Then the dems taught them to blame their failures on Whitey or those Anglos, absolving them of any responsibility for their actions.
Or Climate Change.
Or Orange Man Bad!
He should try being a white kid at a majority black public high school. Or maybe a white person on the Subway in Brooklyn late at night. Or a suburban white woman driving through the South side of Chicago with a flat tire on a Saturday evening.
The exact same possibilities exist - only much higher.
I believe that the preponderance of racism in our country comes from black people and that most of those blacks reside in our large cities.

^^ THAT ^^
Are there people out there that have it in for them? Maybe. But do not jump to that as your first conclusion.
To be frank, most people do not care about you at all.
Larry is right I don’t understand. I don’t live on the knife’s edge always looking to be offended. I don’t live my life looking through a racial lens. But I do know that Larry can feel safe anywhere he goes if the area is predominantly white. I can’t feel the same way in areas heavily populated by blacks.
The younger generation, for all of their foibles, are not as racist as those prior. They do not see race. (unless they are black and you are a white person driving through the ‘hood)
I am tired.
Spot on. The worst thing that can usually happen to a black person going into a predominately white area is that they might get "profiled."
For the reverse, the white person has a reasonable chance of not leaving without being threatened, robbed, molested or even killed.
I'll take the indignity of being "profiled" any day.
In other words, those who believe "racism" is always a possibility, will always find it...
That is absolutely true. In fact, I will say anti-racism and pro "diversity" has been so hammered into young kids' brains, there's a sort of reverse-racism in effect - many white people under 35 view blacks as a preferred, protected and anointed race.
“...blame their failures on Whitey...”
Well, Jao, who is nearly as white as a sheet, IS a large part of their problems.
“avoid dominate black areas”
It was a real unintended benefit when pretty much every mid to large city now all a have MLK boulevards........an area White folks know for sure to steer clear of if atcall possible.......no telling how many lives have been saved. ๐
“..We made eye contact after a few seconds.....
Still seething,..”
I understand the point you’re making, and it’s a helpful reminder not to presume too much too quickly or always jump to the same conclusions.
But, there seems as though a small piece of the story is missing.
...made eye contact... (then suddenly) Still seething.
