I use the ten for a dollar ($1.25 now) Dollar Tree razors.
They work great.
And you can get a huge can of shaving cream for the same $1.25 that lasts six months.
I don’t get the whole designer-shaving thing.

I knew there was someone else out there who doesn’t like to spend all that extra money.

They don't work well on every man's face. I do get "Dollar Shave Club" brand from Family Dollar (I don't like subscriptions), and while not as good as WOKE Gillette or just as WOKE Harry's, they get the job done. I have a stash of 1985 Gillette MicroTracs for special occasions.

I think designer shaving can have a hobby aspect to it. It’s fun to get your shaving rig totally dialed in with the right hardware and accessories after careful research. Plus you get the satisfaction of knowing you’ve outsmarted Big Razor by going rogue and choosing to shave like your granddad did. And on top of that is the fact that shaving well with an old school safety razor takes a bit of skill, so there’s a sense of mastery involved that’s nice.
I’ve experimented with a safety razor and get the appeal but I still just use inexpensive disposables along with regular soap suds as shaving cream. The overall cost close enough to being down in the noise that it’s not something I think about much.
