The legislation, HB 1474, calls for the establishment of an interest-free downpayment assistance program to go toward people and descendants of those impacted by racist practices...Though redlining was outlawed with enactment of the Fair Housing Act in 1968, proponents of HB 1474 have pointed out that the legacy of these policies can still be felt today...HB 1474's lead sponsor, state Representative Jamila Taylor, said,"You may not have heard, but this is the first-in-the-nation statewide reparations bill..."

Three term (12 years) Governor Jay Inslee announced recently that he will not run for a fourth term.

Ever since, he has been on a legislative frenzy to pass anything that will advance his neo-Marxist agenda.

From memory, he is trying to outlaw gasoline engines by 2035.

He has also convinced our Hard Left state Supreme Court that a special tax on entrepreneurs is not an income tax (we have no state income tax).

And, he is trying to enshrine unrestricted legal abortion into our state Constitution.

Racist redlining sounds like something the Rats would do. Gotta keep those plantations in check.

I had no idea Inslee was thinking about a campaign for President.

Hopefully, his opponents will showcase the King County (Seattle) light rail debacle...

Ten years behind schedule - cost has tripled from $5 billion to $15 billion.

Actually, now that I think about it, I am not even sure that state government is deeply involved in King County light rail.

I forgot to mention that Inslee just outlawed assault-style rifles and high capacity magazines.

I assume U.S. Constitutional challenges are coming, but I have seen no press coverage about that yet.

Inslee hasn’t come out and said anything - but it just seems like he is setting himself up for a presidential run. I have no idea how that would work as Biden is running - so probably in 2028? But then why not stay Governor?

Maybe so he has an out when the state is REALLY crap in another 5 years and he can say “Well, it wasn’t like that when I was governor”. (And the press wouldn’t fact-check him).

Above is a video by a gun lawyer done right after Inslee signed the new laws and he talks about a couple of lawsuits that were filed that same day. He has several more videos discussing the lawsuits, supreme court, etc. in WA and in Illinois.

Redlining was already illegal.

you can’t give no interest loans based on race, that is flat out discrimination and any court would throw it out.

He also banned most semi automatic firearms and magazines with a capacity of 6 or more rounds.

The more blacks you have in a community, the more reparations you have to pay. This is a bad way to improve race relations.
