Tennessee is always an option, and no income tax.
Murkowski Land.
Not much of an improvement.
Ping to Chuckster
Prove you're safe, can work on live circuits safely, show no skin grafts, and can interact with operations folks, and you're in like Flynn.
I've found Wisconsin, Tennessee, Georgia, South Carolina, Arizona, Nara, and Kyoto, to be great places. I just go wherever my wife goes in her job, then make a few calls once we get there to find something. Use an agency if you have to. Austin Allen or Aerotek. If you know a few headhunters they can be of great help. Don't use one's you don't know though.
My right hand man and best friend recently moved there, they love it and are building a great life for themselves, it has crossed my mind several times, but I need snow covered peaks, coastal fir and cedars. Tennessee is established, I long for the wilderness, where my biggest fear is to be mauled by a dumb moose thinking im a potential rival.
I’m in Texas and reccomend it less and less each day. Sure no income tax, but my Property Tax will have doubled in the last 7 years (I’ve been here 25).
I’ll probably stay in Texas and move out the cities Californians are filling up and they can deal properety values they inflated.
Arkansas has Mt Like scenery, thick treed areas and they process a lot of food.
A good question, I live in a state that seems to devalue my values and raise taxes every week.
I know some people in Idaho who say that it is good, and some other people in Wyoming and Alaska who say the same.
At the same time I also know people in some of the palm california places who just love it but go to Idaho or Canada in the summer.
What states/places do y’all like for retirement ?
Fun fact: the volcano Mt. Adams is not in Adams County.
It is so sad that most states look exactly like that. Libtards live in cities.
Talk to Chuckster. He left Hawaii for Alaska.
“Fun fact: the volcano Mt. Adams is not in Adams County.”
Thee city of Washington is located in Florida!
About the only jobs matching your skills would be in the fish processing plants. They are high tech automated processing lines.
If you have some savings and can take a month off, go to Alaska and find a job, then get your stuff and family together and go.
A few videos of our wanderings in Alaska before we settled on Petersburg.
Opportunities abound if you like that sort of thing. PM me if you want to know more.
Not Fairbanks, huh? Oh well. Fairbanks is the golden heart of the interior, the wilderness isn’t far away. We’ve got nicer summers than Anchorage and the Kenai peninsula and better northern lights.
Either way, Alaska is FAR away from family and friends. You can handle the dark and cold of winter. But can you handle the distance from family and friends? That is most of the reason why people can’t hack it up here.
I don’t know Anu. Is that a new Freeper or a banned or an old timer that doesn’t post much. Didn’t see them on the Alaska state group.
