Now that she has been crowned alongside her husband, King Charles III’s wife is officially known as Queen Camilla.
While it sounds more official than “queen consort,” the changing of titles does not signify any practical difference in the role of the 75-year-old royal.
Queen consorts do not formally share the sovereign’s powers, and dropping the “consort” part of the title does not change that. Nonetheless, the change marks a milestone in Camilla’s decadeslong road to rehabilitating her image — from someone once reviled as the other woman in Charles’ first marriage to Princess Diana, to a senior royal member largely accepted by the British public.
The question of what title Camilla would hold when Charles became king has long been a subject of contention, due to sensitivity about her status as Charles’ second wife.
Camilla and her first husband, Andrew Parker-Bowles, divorced in 1995, shortly after Charles gave an explosive television interview admitting his relationship with Camilla. Charles and Diana divorced the following year. In 1997, there was a global outpouring of grief when Diana died in a car crash. Camilla and Charles waited until 2005 to marry in a low-key private civil ceremony.

I wasn't making any point about Camilla there, only Melania.
My people have been here since the early 1600s, on both sides, and I have ancestors who fought in the Revolutionary War. So I know where you’re coming from.
That said, you didn’t have to click on the thread if you didn’t care.
Clothing was moved around and the genitals of two people who were married to other people were rubbed together.
Do their using some strange exotic technique change the "married to other people" part? Does it change the fact that one of those "other people" was his subordinate? Which moves it from the "not right" to "down right reprehensible".
From 2005...

“...It is intended that Mrs Parker Bowles should use the title the Princess Consort when the prince accedes to the throne...”
The House of Windsor lied.
The only Queen from the UK I care about is the rock group.
At least she is classy and not some casting-couch yacht-girl.
Her title is “Primary Royal Side Piece”.
Okay, okay, we all have our sick guilty pleasures...
How about: Ye Olde Bag
Queen Dowager, if Camilla outlives Charles.
So, if one person cheats first and the marriage is broken, the other just has to take it?
(For clarification, I don’t believe that Charles ‘cheated’ first. Diana was as good at PR as Harry’s wife is now - though in her somewhat hysterical way Diana was a lot smarter about a lot of things.)
“Melania Trump’
Actually, she was worth a lot of money before she met Trump.
And it’s your option to give them a pass despite the scandal and turmoil they created, while carrying on an adulterous affair while both were still married. I guess the end justifies the means, right? It doesn’t matter who gets hurt along the way, as long as, in the end, you get what you want.
Maybe Camilla will be Queen Mother the same as Elizabeth’s mother.
I think, like a lot of people (misguided, in my opinion), they decided to go their own ways but remain married for the sake of the children. People have done that forever, often to the absolute detriment of the kids.
Finally, as I understand it - (again from the news, I wasn’t there) - the Queen told them to divorce, and end all the strife and gossip.
No. She won’t be the mother of a reigning monarch.
Used the Kamala Playbook.
And it’s pathetic that the Queen had to fix it all in the end.
That's just nonsense. It was the means that justified the ends.
You go ahead and think the worst of the sinners.
GFY, slimy. She had her own before Trump.
