Is anyone gonna watch? This is something that you may only get to see one time in your life.
Most networks are going to start the telecast at about 5am Eastern time. PBS will start much earlier, simulcasting the BBC.
Biden might well do something stupid or embarrassing. The powers that be wisely kept him at the White House. Dr. Jill and Kerry are sufficient representation.
Per its description in 1066:
‘For by the sceptre uprisings in the kingdom are controlled and the rod gathers and confines those men that stray’.
The sceptre used today was made in 1661, and follows several constitutional reforms including Magna Carter, that limited the temporal authority of the monarch.
Think of the “rod of equity and mercy” as now representing a shepherd’s crook, representing the spiritual duty of the monarch to address injustice, protect the weak, protect people of faith, uphold the Christian faith, and serve as the government’s moral compass.
Note that the faith element is non denominational. While King Charles heads the Church of England his position as defender of “the faith” was directly confirmed by Greek Orthodox, Catholic, non-denominational, Protestant and other Christian churches, but is additionally enforsed by formal representatives of Jewish, Sikh, Muslim and Hindu faith communities.
I heard she cheated first. But he used her.
It’s one of the sceptres - it’s meant to symbolise the spiritutal responsibilities of the King to treat all as equal before the law and to tend to mercy in any judgements. Hence the name
(usher in the NWO)
Yeah I was thinking about that. One more step.
A Lion with Eagle’s wings is very significant.
I can’t believe Americans actually care about these goofy royals..
I really like the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin.
All this fake Christianity surrounding the coronation is nauseating. They’re all pagan, elitist communists.
I’ll be watching Gunsmoke reruns.
This is my MIL’s 95th birthday, and I know I will never see this day with her again. So no, not watching the coronation, and truthfully couldn’t care less.
The family is gathered. Taking a few minutes now to catch up at FR before it gets any busier here. Have a joyful day everyone!
I was just going to watch to see if a direct descendent of King Harold II challenged the 28xgreat-grandson of William the Norman Usurper to single combat for the crown to reverse the 1066 error.
Royal events are always fun to watch.
Tradition is a wonderful thing.

Charles never wanted to marry Diana. Camilla and her first Husband had a sham marriage forced on them by Capt. Bowles’ parents. They had plans to divorce before Charles married Diana and the Queen forbid Charles to marry a divorcee with Children. Diana has been turned into a Saint, because of her tragic death. Trust me, she had plenty of her own issues and skeletons in her closet.
My wife watches and feeds me info. I treat it like a bad MST3K movie and riff on it. We fought a war here to rid ourselves of pompous asses.
At 12:02 pm exactly (1102 GMT), the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby placed the solid gold St Edward's Crown on Charles's head as a sacred and ancient symbol of the monarch's authority.Cries of "God Save the King" rang out from the 2,300-strong congregation at Westminster Abbey and trumpet fanfares sounded at the climax of the solemn religious confirmation of his accession.
I thought the 1202 time was interesting. A few examples:
1202 =
the first three words of the Torah, "In the beginning God created"
alef + tav + alpha + omega ( 1 + 400 + 1 + 800)
"Torah Prophets Writings" -- the Hebrew Bible -- which is abbreviated to "Tanakh" as the acronym for those three divisions.
These are simple observations not any kind of interpretation.
It's all quite fascinating on multiple levels.
If they had a 68 year old accountant would have had to fight them.
(Seriously, the current King’s champion is a 68 year old accountant - he’s the 34th Lord of the manor of Scrivelsby and they have been the King’s Champions since 1066. He has participated in today’s coronation carrying the Royal Standard.)
Thank you! Rich in history, pomp and circumstance.
Very interesting! Thank you for your attention to detail.
