“Randy Bachman decided to leave his position as the lead guitarist for The Guess Who”
I had no idea. I enjoyed The Guess Who — not a huge fan, but some enjoyable music.
I have to confess I never heard a BTO song, though. At least not intentionally.
He’s “Taking Care of Business” now.
BTOs fame may have been concentrated in certain regions of the country.
I heard them a lot, and I grew up in Detroit, only one bridge away from Ontario. Canada. That era was diamond studded with high quality talent, so some acts were going to be overlooked by the DJs. There was so much to choose from.
I think you are confusing BTO with ELO.
That’s Electric Light Orchestra!
Didn’t they sing the anti-American song ‘American Woman’ (the statue of liberty)?
Anyway - saw them live in 1988. Liked most of their music. RIP
That’s The Guess Who.
Looks like you are correct. Did not mean to slander BTO. Like I said - enjoyed their music.
Maybe this is what I remembered from from them. Fades as the years go by.

You misspelled n-n-n-nothing. 🤡
I’d be amazed if you didn’t hear “Let It Ride”, “Takin’ Care of Business”, and/or “You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet” in that era.
