That is related to sofware releases and how they are tracked - whole numbers indicate significant changes to the overall system while decimal releases indicate changes which may only be minor or at least do qualify as wholesale layout changes.
Some will even do multiple decimals such as 2.01.23 to indicate bug fixes and the like though those usually aren’t typically communicated to customers like a .01 update would be.
It’s industry specific they way that submarines are referred to as boats and surface vessels as ships (provided they are over 197 ft in length, less then that then they are boats though any vessel carried by another vessel is also called a boat independent of length)
Try browsing for “concentrator” on Amazon. At a minimum you can learn the langwidge and get a feeling for the spread of stuff out there as well as the price ranges. Most folks don’t need portable capability so you can most likely skip those.
Another option most folks don’t consider is industrial oxygen. If anyone in the family uses oxy in their shop it might be an option. It’s the same stuff as medical and a proper regulator/face mask is very easy to make a hookup with. The bottles are bigger but you can run a hose clear across the yard.
