MtnClimber (From the article): "While campaigning in 2019, Joe Biden guaranteed “we’re going to end fossil fuels.”
What he didn’t say is that eliminating fossil fuels will create a troublesome scarcity of electricity.
He also didn’t say that was part of the plan, even though it just might be."
"Now with the power of the presidency behind him – again we ask, how could such a disastrous event happen?
– Biden is just a few pages of paperwork away from forcing natural gas- and coal-fired power plants to sharply cut their greenhouse emissions.
If the emission caps can’t be met, power plants will then have to adopt carbon capture technology, which is quite expensive."
" Our friends at the Committee to Unleash Prosperity had an interesting response to the news.
“Ben Franklin,” they said, “is often heralded as the man who discovered the power of electricity.
Joe Biden wants to be the president who abolished it.” (Emphasis Mine)
" Output cuts that will be required under the proposed regime “are so stringent,” says the CTUP, that “fossil fuel plants – which supply around 65% of America’s power
– would be technologically incapable of complying.”
The only way they will be able to stay open and generating power is if Americans’ utility bills are raised “dramatically.” If not, they close, and the power they produce is gone."
"The administration knows this. The administration doesn’t care.
The administration, driven by the hard-left zealots that run the Democratic Party, wants the rest of us to make do with less."
How’s that gonna work with digital currency?
All while they’ll still have power to run their homes and offices.
Between a warm winter and a new furnace I used 1/3 of the electricity that I used last year, yet, my electric bill has increased by 60%.
I was born in 1960 and have never lacked for anything - electricity, A/C (well, only in my parent’s bedroom, LOL!) , running water, indoor plumbing, washer and dryer, a COLOR TV when I was about 7 years old - to watch Da Packers, of course! ;)
However, if it comes down to it, I’ll be more able than most to live without those luxuries. “Army Training, Sir!” Plus, I’m marrying a Country Boy. He done shot me a wild turkey ta eat just yestidy! :)
I don’t need electricity to grow food - but if everything goes as planned, home gardens will be outlawed, as will having chickens or raising your own beef or pork.
Wonder how the rest of the ‘Citified Proles’ will adapt? No electricity, no computers, no EBT cards...
Until then, Let’s Go, Brandon!
Solar is a suitable solution for many. I have a 8 KW system. I’ve been getting about a 8% annual return on investment without any government subsidies or grants. I can be independent and live reasonably normal without the grid.
I would recommend solar for anyone striving to free themselves from government control of electricity production.
This administration MUST drive up the cost of gas and diesel because at $2.00 a gallon, it is cheaper to operate than an EV. Cant push the all electric mantra when petroleum is cheaper.
