Fox News just pulled a Bud Light: Furious Tucker Carlson fans say they will now boycott beleaguered network after his firing because it 'was the only show I watched'

Fans of Tucker Carlson's now canceled Fox News show are comparing the beleaguered network to Bud Light and threatening to boycott it altogether in the wake of Carlson's firing.

Carlson was blindsided by his firing from Fox News and learned of it on Monday morning shortly before it was announced, sources tell DailyMail.com.

Now, some of Carlson's fans, guests and conservatives in general are trashing the network's decision.

Frequent guest Michael Tracey wrote: 'Fox News has eliminated the only reason why anyone under 40 pays any attention to Fox News.'

Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia went further.

'Cable news is about to be taught a powerful lesson after Fox News caved to the woke mob and fired Tucker Carlson,' she tweeted. 'Americans no longer blindly watch the news like they did decades ago, they only watch the ones who have courage to tell the truth. Americans are about to quit watching.'

Venture Capitalist David Sacks compared Fox to Bud Light for their promotion with Dylan Mulvaney, a move that enraged conservatives.

'Tonight I’ll be watching Fox News drinking Bud Light. Not,' he tweeted, presumably sarcastically.

One another account joked about another Mulvaney promotion.

'By losing Tucker, Fox News is now the Bud Light of Nike Sports Bras,' they wrote, citing Dylan Mulvaney's partnership with the athletics wear brand.

Even some of Carlson's closest staff were unaware that his show had been axed, reading about it for the first time on Twitter.

I thought Bed Bath & Beyond was the perfect illustration of a two-year to bankruptcy decision - and that was for ousting My Pillow!

When “flyover country” decides they’re not purchasing something, it certainly causes a shake-up.

“Same here, also Gutfeld on YouTube. We have not bothered having cable for years—just free streaming services plus Amazon Prime because we like getting the free shipping.”

We have never had cable. When the government “improved” the TV viewers’ experience years ago by stopping us from being able to catch the 2 or 3 broadcast channel we could catch with our rooftop antenna, we just shut off our TV. It’s now used as a monitor for our computer as we watch selected news shows by streaming segments we wish to watch. We use Youtube and increasingly Rumble.

Totally agree ... cancel your cable helps cut off their cash ... I haven’t had cable for five years ... do not miss it a bit

FNC doesn’t need to survive.

It served its purpose.

Now it’s no longer needed.

also Gutfeld on YouTube.

Gutfeld is next on the chopping block. Reason: the devil can't stand being laughed at.

YouTube, owned by Google which is as biased as you can get and blocked tons of conservative views including some of Trump’s speeches and anything that was against the covid bullshit and Amazon which is another liberal woke company pushing all the woke DEI crap on prime.

So boycotting Fox News will show em.

Cable news networks are headed the same direction as cable television. Replaced by freedom of choice on the internet.

Tucker will do us more good broadcasting unleashed from the chain, live on Rumble for live watchers and Spotify or somewhere for audio consumers. Don’t need radio or cable tv.

There is a chair to fill at the microphone of Freedom and Liberty for conservatives.

Same for me. I just know that Tucker Carlson will be in a far better place than Fox will be in about 6 months.

From this past January, behind a paywall, posting for the headline...

Murdoch Backtracks on Plan to Merge Media Empire

In January Murdoch reportedly decided against reuniting his empire.

If so, looks to me like Carlson's so-called firing has been planned for a while now.

Yes. FOX needs to be eliminated. All wokeness eats itself ultimately. If they’re going to drown put a hose in their mouth.
