What they really mean is for Congress to create new rules for people who don’t have lawyers to figure out how to not pay it.
It is always about being generous with other people’s means.
Do any of you ever recall that back in the day the Left would go on about charity being inadequate?
Now, while some may be deluded to think that they thought that government welfare would be adequate that was almost certainly never the case.
Rather it was because charity is voluntary and not forced is what made it “inadequate”. It was “inadequate” because little people who were not the governing elite could direct it, grant it and if they chose withhold it.
“Adequacy” wasn’t about meeting needs but about who controlled the money.
If they just have to waste a few million dollars they can send it to me.
Meaning they have good Tax Lawyers and have already structured their wealth so as to avoid paying a lot of tax.
But despite this, they want to virtue signal too.
So....shock shock...they’re not willing to walk the walk. Just like all those Gaia worshipers who fly on private jets and have giant energy sucking mansions and yachts but thinks you lowly peasants should have to eat bugs “for da Erf”.
