Hillary and the DNC rigged her primary. Are you insinuating that Trump is doing the same thing?

In order to run, Ron needs to either give up his recently won Governorship of Florida OR have the law changed so he can run for POTUS and still be Governor.

This alone is something that will be a problem for him . If he changes that law to run, he better be a very involved Governor and put that job first or he will totally ruin his chances in 2028. Shadow campaigns don’t work well. Palin ran one and it was pretty much the end for her politically.

If he is sincere about running he should resign and put everything he has into a bid for POTUS otherwise it will just appear his only purpose is to keep Trump from winning at the expense of his job for Florida.

If DeSantis runs, neither He or Trump has a chance at winning. Especially with mail in vote fraud and ballot tampering. Democrats aren’t going to all at once decide to play fair when they don’t have to anymore.

Re: 79 - I did to want to say that part out loud, as it would be difficult for some people to accept.

Thanks for acknowledging!

“If he runs against Trump he’s done.”

If DeSantis can eventually plausibly assert, based on reliable polling, that Trump can’t win the general election, then we’ll be glad he stayed in the fight.

Here is the thing. What can any of the other Republican candidates for President offer that Trump hasn’t already done? Trump is a proven commodity, successful with everything he did.

What is DeSantis, Christie or any of the others going to offer that differs from Trump’s conservative principles? DeSantis needs 4 more years. Christie is a waste, but might be a good DoJ person. Haley would probably be a good SecState with her UN experience.

Other than that, it’s just rhetoric. If the candidates cannot stand up to Trump and are just whining, how will they fare against the rest of the worlds leaders, many who hate the US?

What Trump is doing is a strategy and it is a successful one. Just ask Hillary!

I see you have expanded your repetitious Florida election integrity lie that several here have proven false time and again. Were you mentored by Harry Reid?

The reality is that candidates and issues no longer matter. Biden and Fetterman ended that charade. The process of collecting ballots is the real battleground along with election fraud.

The 2020 election was stolen. Trump is the first incumbent President who lost an election despite receiving more votes than the first time. Trump won 17 of the 18 bellwether counties. There are so many other anomalies in the 2020 election. Historically, Trump should have been an easy winner given the various normal indicators of winning.

Trump received more votes than any sitting President in history, and more votes than any GOP candidate. He increased his vote total by 17% from 2016. Biden allegedly received 81 million votes campaigning from his basement receiving 12 million more votes than Obama’s record 69 million in 2008. Yet Biden only won half the number of counties won by Obama.

If the GOP were smart, they would rally around a beleaguered Trump who has been attacked relentlessly, e.g., Russia hoax, spying on his campaign and as the sitting President, two bogus, groundless impeachments, invasion of his home by FBI thugs, an outrageous indictment by Bragg, etc. Trump and his family have gone thru a gauntlet of attacks by the Dems, MSM, Big Tech, and Deep State with the main purpose of stopping Trump from occupying the WH again.

Rallying around a loser is a sure way to lose again. If there is any chance of winning we have to rally around a viable candidate. Trump is just not electable even without cheating - he has thoroughly poisoned the well. Ask any moderate or independent you know if they would vote Trump under any circumstance. If you have lost a significant portion of freepers you have certainly lost those in the middle necessary for a national win.

It's just primary politics. If DeSantis pushes Trump too hard, Trump will invent a nickname for Ron as he did for Low Energy Jebra.;-)

Frankly, I don't think it makes much sense to get wound-up about primary spats and threats. It's like a really big pro-wrestling match. Lots of bluster.

If Trump becomes our candidate, Great!

If something happens to Trump and Ron becomes our candidate, Great!

In the final analysis, we are at war with the Demo-Marxists, not fellow Republicans.

I think your analysis is right on the money. The bottom line is the GOPe doesn’t care who wins the White House as long as it isn’t Trump, and frankly not DeSantis either. If RDS were to get the GOP nomination Trump would probably mount an independent bid splitting the Republican vote and making it a clear victory for Biden. I think the GOPe will be happy with that scenario and are o doubt secretly hoping for that to happen.

This is not business as usual.
In all my life, there has not been a coup and an elected President removed by the other party.
To worsen all this, no one took the stand to stop the illegal coup.

To realize majority in congress would settle for a senile old man rather than a strong patriot, Trump.

Sorry dude, but if you are calling him names, then it is obvious you are an Only Trumper … just as bad as a Never Trumper.

Trump had my support up to his blatant name-calling of DeSantis. Now, I think I will not vote for him … even if he wins the nomination. Simply put, I do not like or put up with bullies.

If he becomes #47, he will do it without my vote.
