INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana — Former President Donald Trump told Breitbart News exclusively that he supports a proposal from Reps. Michael Waltz (R-FL) and Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) that would authorize the use of military force against Mexican drug cartels to target the criminal enterprises and dismantle them.
“I would do that,” Trump said when asked about the congressmen’s Authorization for the Use of Military Force (AUMF) legislation that they have recently proposed.

I just shot my kid’s drug dealer dead.
How many cartridges did you use?
Two!
Fill out this form if you want the DEA to reimburse you.
We can find out where the drug sellers are because we can track the cell phones of junkies.
‘Pigro’ is Italian for ‘lazy’.
“Use the military to crush Mexico, including the migrant invader vermin already in our country...”
The US auto industry would not be able to make vehicles.
There is no justification to attack or hurt the country of Mexico.
Most (98%+) are not vermin. They simply take advantage of being able to make about $15/hour in the USA instead of about $5/day in Mexico.
—> Dont drag Desantis into another One of Trumps ridiculous , illegal , and
dumb ideas .
Give it a week or two and see if DeChameleon releases a very similar policy…
I like the way you think 😉. However, you and I both know that would never fly in the USSA. Reminds me of that bumper sticker I see from time to time, “Shoot Your Local Heroin Dealer”. Agreed, but I would hazard to guess that too would not work.
The military didn’t listen to Trump half the time before. They ignored orders. How will he control them now?
Feel free to provide one example of the military ignoring orders from President Trump.
Hes been reading my posts.
Ha ha ha ha ha ha …… and the DeSantis people will be fainting with the awesomeness of it and blow up Twitter.
Well, a woman was just kicked out of the Arizona legislature for bringing ina guest speaker, stating just that.
Have to wonder if they have any proof.
If there is profit, these are the things that Pres Trump could be doing. He talks of the corruption we all know it’s there. And getting worse. Show some proof and out these people on their heals.
But that’s just it.
Our border was secured and we didn’t use one troop.
CBP was allowed to do their job. Remain In Mexico. Massive reduction in refugees. Wall being built.
Take away the financial incentives and about 98% of these people disappear overnight.
After that, all attention on the smuggling routes, the pacific and the Gulf.
Military funds were the funds that built the wall if you’ll recall. Military funds and pressure on Mexico to use its troops to secure their border. That was then. God only knows what the situation Trump would find in 2025 would be. Like I said, whatever it takes. The less, the better, of course, internally and on the border.
Don’t forget Wilson. In fact he DID it. He sent about 5000 troops into Mexico after Pancho Villa.
Many of the reactions here and reminiscent of the folks who say we can’t export “dreamers”, being completely ignorant of “operation wetback”.
From the US perspective, and we are sovereign, there is no better solution.
Black Jack Pershing invaded Mexico with 14,000 troops to catch Panchio Villa. There were 140,000 troops on the border to secure it.
"Eighty years ago, in February 1917, the last of the U.S. troops serving in the Mexican Punitive Expedition recrossed the border from Palomas, Chihuahua, Mexico, into Columbus, New Mexico. Eleven months earlier the bandit Francisco "Pancho" Villa had raided Columbus. With approximately 485 men, known as Villistas, Villa had attacked the border town on March 9, 1916. According to War Department reports, ten American officers and soldiers were killed, two officers and five soldiers wounded, eight civilians killed, and two wounded. The Mexican irregulars' losses numbered approximately one hundred killed, with seven wounded and captured.1 From March 16, 1916, to February 14, 1917, an expeditionary force of more than fourteen thousand regular army troops under the command of Brig. Gen. John J. "Black Jack" Pershing operated in northern Mexico "in pursuit of Villa with the single objective of capturing him and putting a stop to his forays."2 Another 140,000 regular army and National Guard troops patrolled the vast border between Mexico and the United States to discourage further raids." https://www.archives.gov/publications/prologue/1997/fall/mexican-punitive-expedition-1.html
You said it much better than me, and probably a lot more accurate...
“On a side note, if Crenshaw is involved in any way, shape or form, RUN...RUN Far Away.”
More likely, if Eyepatch McCain is involved, the military will be ordered to TRANSPORT more illegals here.
“Use the military to crush the cartel and the growers in Mexico and to round up and deport every single one of the filthy migrant invader vermin (MIV) already in our country...”
Any one of these 45-million criminal MIVs can go back to their own shithole country and can get in line and apply for entry within the law...
No exceptions...
Today’s military would bend over and pretend to be a goat, for the goat humpers.
“Feel free to provide one example of the military ignoring orders from President Trump.”
I haven’t the time to research but Mattis among others disobeyed or at least covered not following through on CIC wishes. I think pulling out of Syria was one of the instances some Generals rebelled. I’d have to refresh myself.
But I do recall I agreed with Trump 100% of us getting out of that arena and was pissed when they found out certain orders had not been carried out.
I am open to an explanation of how using the US military to “crush” the cartels could be successful, short of carpet-bombing the entire country.
I parse this as follows: Members of the cartels aren’t going to offer a pitched battle or concentrate themselves in obvious places. They will melt away and have to be rooted out of the woodwork, which takes time and local knowledge. Meanwhile, the cartels will send a few terrorists at a time to attack our forces in small actions. Local people will be scared to give information, and not necessarily happy with yankee invaders.
Send too few troops and keep them away from the public, and they will be vulnerable to ambushes, and unable to gain the intel needed to crush the cartels. Send large numbers and let them mix with the locals, and the cartels are going to make sure to supply our troops with affordable drink, drugs, cartel putas, and offers of easy wealth. Even if only a few percent are turned, every mission will be compromised. How could this NOT go wrong?
I see President Trump as floating an idea he has no intention of actually doing, just to remind the Mexican government that working with him would be so much wiser than not.
