We regularly see statements on Free Republic, to the effect that someone would rather vote for Democrats, than some Republicans who are perceived as too liberal, too RINO, too deep state, or too GOP-e.

If someone is truly conservative , there’s no way they could prefer RFK Jr to DeSantis. Perhaps whoever said that will come back and explain their opinion.

RFK Jr isn’t serious about winning. He is going to stick to the Dem script. If he was serious, he would try to get to Trump’s base and blame Fauci, as he did in his book. He should parallel Trump’s rhetoric, which opens up the second generation of Reagan/Trump Democrats and focuses on his real target, Biden.
