People in Nashville weighed in on Bud Light facing backlash for partnering with a trans influencer, with some saying the brand won’t be forgiven easily.
"I'm a Bud Light drinker and I don't drink it anymore as a result," one man, Rick, told Fox News. "I don't think I'll go back—not for a long time."
But Trudy said the anger toward the brand is "very overblown."
"That's not a reason not to drink a beer," she said. AMERICAN TELLS BUD LIGHT ‘TOO LITTLE, TOO LATE’
Bud Light remains embroiled in controversy after the brand sent transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney a special pack of beer with her face on the can as part of an ad for the company's March Madness contest and to celebrate a year since she transitioned. Bud Light's parent company, Anheuser-Busch, lost $5 billion in value after news of the partnership led to nationwide calls to boycott the beer.
"I don't care if you're transgender or gay. Whatever you want to be is your right," a Nashville visitor, Anna Marie, said. "But my God, honor somebody who served in our military, a police officer, a fireman."
One man, Jason, said it was "the wrong move" by the brand, but "everyone making a big deal out of it has gotten them publicity that they don't pay for or deserve."
Several people said they were angry because it seemed like the company was making a political statement.

This was a horrible move on Budweiser's part. Not just the whole woke part but one week after a tranny murdered 6 people, 3 of which were children.
Someone at Budweiser should have said "no" lets ditch this. It could have been stopped.
I stopped Bud purchases and went to a true American company for light beer, Yuengling.
You have nailed it there. Their timing was cold blooded.
I picked up two 12 packs of platinum today to restock
Don Jr said it was cool
I have not had a rice beer (at least knowingly) for 30+ years!

Maybe it’s a political statement, maybe it’s a societal statement. Either way, BL and AB has made me aware of just how far they will go to approve of this type of thing (transgenders, drag queens, etc). I’m sick of DEI. Why are my conservative Christian values frowned upon by companies these days? Why did they decide to offend me? They should’ve kept their big yaps closed.
Tell Budweiser to stop drinking from the far side of the glass!
AB is scared to death of HRC
Is that the San Francisco City Council?
AB *UP* 2.5% today when the markets were flat (Dow down 0.23%). Yet another battle we’re about to lose.
Good one.
“Someone at Budweiser should have said “no” lets ditch this.”
And whoever said that would have been called a bigot and fired, and they would have ran the campaign anyway.
Good one.
Apparently AB is not cognizant who their customer base is. Also where the base ingredients come from and who grows those ingredients. I live in barley country. I rarely meet a tranny farming. Most are conservative types. Their marketing screw up ain’t going away soon. While people find and drink something else. Why come back to Bud?
Do they really think so little of Americans that they believe a little ad they hurriedly made will make us forget their contempt and hatred for ‘fratty’ beer drinkers and how they shoved a MAN in makeup who mocks women in our faces???
F them. 🖕
I used to get Bon Appetit magazine but canceled it when there was an article about a trans person who got to play farmer on a woman’s farm and cried because it was one of the few places they felt accepted.
I canceled the HELL out of it - my husband and I owned a pumpkin farm and we worked our fingers to the bone. There was no ‘oh, I am so mentally screwed up that I am going to go and play farmer’ so that I can feel validated and ignore how screwed up everyone knows I am.
“Overblown?” Yes, of course, it is. But most of us don’t have any “means” of shouting “ENOUGH IS ENOUGH” without a neighbor thinking we are ready for the looney bin. I think we are at a point where we are LOOKING for something to “hit” to make this all go away. Bud Lite pops on the daily whack-a-mole news cycle and it is a perfect thing to HIT! BAM! If it was Coors or Krogers, Bam! Doesn’t matter so much it is a beer, it is a target!
