The Vets here have you by the short hairs, so to speak. LOL If you don’t get all the shots, HW tests, etc. they don’t treat the dog without them or give meds. I took my oldest for a visit at another Vet because our Vet was busy. She tore her dew claw and he saw that she was two weeks past due on her rabies vax so he wouldn’t treat her unless he could give it to her. I had to take proof to my Vet to be added to her record. You can’t get HW meds from any Vet here unless you have them tested and examined annually.

The CanadaVet doesn’t require prescriptions for HW meds. The only downside to Canada is that the meds have to go through Customs and it takes a little longer. I order more when they take the last pill. That way I have it before it’s due again.

I still get mine tested annually though to be safe.

PR and I, own the local Veterinary clinic and Pet Center. We need a new DVM (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine). Preferably, one who is not a flaming lefty. The one we have is nearing retirement and should be gone soon. (We hope)
