A book about Anne Frank has been removed from a Florida school library after a parent group complained that it was sexually explicit and minimized the Holocaust.
The tome titled “Anne Frank’s Diary: The Graphic Adaptation” was yanked from the shelves at Vero Beach High School in Indian River County after Moms for Liberty voiced concerns, WPTV reported.
“We think true history absolutely needs to be taught, the Holocaust, the Anne Frank diary,” Jennifer Pippin, chairwoman of the group’s local chapter, told the outlet.
But she argued that it was inappropriate that the book features illustrations of the girl strolling among nude statues, as well as a “graphic scene” where she asks a friend to expose themselves to one another.
After the grassroots parent advocacy group complained to the principal, the school determined that some portions of the book did not contribute to the themes of Holocaust education, WPTV reported.

It’s been awhile, but I don’t recall reading that part in Ann’s diary.
The next version will have Anne Frank’s name changed to “Arnie Frank” and reveal how Arnie sought ‘gender affirming healthcare’ before the Nazis forced he/him into hiding.
A responsible action.
The text only version is preferred.
Only groomers foist this graphic material on kids.
I read it as a teen, but I do not remember the “explicit” parts. I remember the fear of them possibly being found and the whole hiding experience. I remember my opinion of the Nazis.
Do the numb-numbs allow drag queens, guys and girls to share locker rooms and other perverted , modern crap? If they do then I will assume that they are anti-Jewish, not anti “explicit” writing.

How ironic that head mom of “Moms For Liberty” looks like a dude.
Did you ever read the original?
It is the diary of a teenage girl. It contains a the sexual thoughts that you would expect a girl of that age to have in private.
see my post 20 this is a different/recent edition
Thank you. LOL I just wrote a long response to the wrong statement
The parents are correct if the stupid school just allows the graphic book. That graphic part was a very small part of the bookm
Not the updated version!!! see my post 20. It get pornagrapic
Why the hell do high schoolers need a “graphic adaption,” aka a comic book version of the story? The original book was written by a teenager and should be easily readable to even junior high schoolers.
Yes, I know the answer to my question—the emerging generation is too dumbed down to be able to comprehend the original.
It’s basically a comic book. You can find images online. The nude statues are nothing overt. But the question remains: why can’t the kids just read the actual book? Why does everything need to be dumbed-down?
It’s a “book about Anne Frank”, not the Anne Frank diary itself.
It’s possible this “book about Anne Frank” was put there as some sort of false flag operation.
I remember when “Married with Children” specifically, and FOX, generally, rode that horse to great success. Seth MacFarlane owes them a great deal.
These people are just evil snakes, they lace this crap into an Anne Frank book. After someone notices what they’ve done. Then win win they get the headline “The fascist Republics have banned an Anne Frank book”.
Not necessarily. Graphics showing the hidden staircase, and how narrow it was (I’ve climbed it), or how tight the quarters were, might be actually instructive.. . .
Who puts these books into school libraries in the first place?
L
Most likely. These days, diversity, inclusion and equity (DIE) takes precedence over academics.
When I was in high school, we read Shakespeare, Dostoevsky, Dickens, Melville, Hawthorne, Orwell, Whitman, Hemingway, etc. I outgrew comic books around sixth grade and no teacher even in grade school ever assigned us to read a "graphic novel."
