The reason I'm suggesting this is because with AI, they can probably check all your accounts in like thirty seconds, so you can't nothing to chance if there is a chance that you have anything Big Socialists will object to which could cost your job.
Do it when you don't have to and at a leisurely rate, then to have to try and get it done when you're under the gun.
The reason I bring this up is because my employer just asked me for my social media and my job is dependent upon giving it to him.
I keep Facebook and others clean.
That is what I would give as social media. Free Republic is no more “social” than the comment area at the Daily Mail or NY Post.
Do you have to give your employer your FR screen name?
Yes all you say is true. E are no longer a free country. People should quit fooling themselves.
I just gave him Facebook. I don’t consider sites like FR or Quora to be social media.
But it is the wave of the future. I fully expect that AI will cross reference the entire internet to find anything you have posted.
I have nothing but FR. And I am sure each of us are under surveillance by the FBI gestapo.
They been looking at Facebook posts of people they hire for a while. I remember of people already hired that were fired for things they put on Facebook after they were hired.
“Social media? I don’t go near it, Boss! Nothing to give.”
Remember how Canada froze the truckers bank accounts? I bet you that is headed our way too.
This is new to me. I wasn’t asked two years ago for my accounts.
I’m also pointing out that AI can keep track of everything you do across the entire internet going as far back as it is saved. I fully expect that some company will offer, for a price, to use the most advanced technologies to do just that for prospective employers.
I’m conservative on my FB account, but not over the top. Glad I don’t work for a PC company and have a very secure job.
Stop interrupting!
Don’t have one.
I deleted my Facebook account years ago. I use sites like Parler and Truth Social that employers don’t need to know about.
Can’t cancel me I am retired
But AI can trace that, which is what my concern is.
AI can cross-reference anything across the entire internet in a relatively short period of time, including your IP account.
Unless you used things like email that is not connected to your life otherwise, you might be traceable.
I don’t know if they were asked for their accounts or not. The gist of the stories were that they were hired, that they had mmade derogatory posts about their employers. The employers read the posts and informed them not to report to work. It was at least 4 years ago. And I am going from memory so things are skectchy. The tone pf the story was to be careful what you post on social media.
A little paranoid aren’t you.
I’ve never denigrated an employer, so I’m good on that.
However, in this new age, my concern is that anything I have posted that is political or religious could be used against me.
I don’t believe so, not in this day and age.
Liberals are looking to eliminate the opposition.
