That is what I would give as social media. Free Republic is no more “social” than the comment area at the Daily Mail or NY Post.

Is Free Republic classified as Social Media?

For me, FR is Political Media, because I do not socialize with anyone here, I just talk politics, and most often with people who disagree with me.

In general, USA employers are not allowed to inquire about your politics, although there are exceptions, like military and intelligence related jobs.

I recently had an email that my eBay account was PERMANENTLY banned, for “activities that promote hate”. (their actual words)

No explanation, just shut off. If I was making a living off of eBay, I would be very p****d off.

But I had not even been on eBay in YEARS.

So, is eBay scanning your OTHER social media accounts to see what you are up to? Did some butt-hurt liberal report me to eBay?

And THANK YOU to the 100 separate responses telling me “it was probably phishing” - I am a computer systems engineer- I checked it out. It was not phishing.
