“Iconic weight loss company Jenny Craig is shedding some pounds of its own, it was reported this week. The company is going to be “winding down physical operations” and is reportedly looking for a buyer, according to NBC News.
The company’s employees have been warned about “potential mass layoffs”, the report says, noting that the company says it “has been going through a sales process for the last couple of months.”
A company FAQ document related to the transition said: “While we had to issue Warn Notices specifically for sites where we had more than 50 people potentially impacted, this will likely impact all employees in some manner.”
It continued: “We do not know the exact employees/groups whom will be impacted, and if any employees may be retained. As a result, we would suggest that you anticipate that your employment may be impacted and begin to seek other employment.”

Did you know that in 1946 there was a war fought by veteran soldiers returning from WWII against a corrupt group of Democrats who controlled a dirty police force in Tennessee?
It’s called the Battle of Athens.
A dirty Democrat political machine took over Tennessee politics in the 1930s. Ballots were counted in secret. Poll watchers were ejected from precinct houses.
Does this sound familiar to you?
Dirty police got a fee for every person they booked. They would board public buses and charge sober passengers with being drunk to extort them. Shakedowns became common.
Then the war veterans started returning home to Athens.
The dirty cops started to arrest GIs and fine them heavily for no reason. It was a shakedown racket. So the GI’s formed a political party in 1946 & ran their candidates in the election to unseat the corrupt Democrat machine politicians.
That’s when the Battle of Athens began.

The GIs sent a telegram to the Governor of Tennessee for help with a fair election.
They got no reply.
Meanwhile the dirty cops of Athens posted armed guards at every precinct to gather the ballot boxes to get ready to steal the vote.
So the GIs armed themselves.
Fifty cops sat in the county jail counting ballots illegally. The leader of the GIs warned them: “Would you damn bastards bring those damn ballot boxes out here or we are going to set siege against the jail and blow it down!”
Then the shooting started.
The GIs finally won after they threw dynamite into the jail. The people of Athens beat the cops almost to death.
The next day, The New York Times printed fake news in favor of the cops: TENNESSEE SHERIFF is SLAIN IN PRIMARY DAY VIOLENCE.
The newspapers condemned the soldiers.
Of course.
When the ballots were finally counted in front of the residents of Athens, it was a landslide for the GI’s political party.
Of course.
The leader of the GI’s became the new town sheriff.
Of course.
Hundreds of armed citizens kept peace in Athens until order was restored.
Of course.
The Battle of Athens in 1946 led to GI’s running for office in the rest of Tennessee to clean out the dirty Democrat machine politicians.
They finally cleaned up the entire state.
Can you guess why Democrats in 2023 never want to teach your kids any American history?

Senate Democrats are holding a political hearing on Tuesday.
And pretending there’s an “ethics problem” on the Supreme Court.
(There’s not.)
To delegitimize—and destroy—the Supreme Court.
Because the Court is in their way.
It’s the last line of defense.
Stopping politicians from running over our rights as Americans.
Including the rights to speak, associate, worship, and protect ourselves.
So Senate Democrats are working with their lapdogs in the media, to plant bogus stories—especially over the last couple weeks, in the buildup to Tuesday.
(Of course, just on the Republican-appointed justices.)
Here are some responses to the most recent examples:
1. Justice Clarence Thomas escaped the Democrats’ plantation 40 years ago. They hate him for this, and they’ve tried to destroy him since then. Ginni Thomas never worked in the Democrats’ kitchen. She’s been a political activist long before he became a judge. He doesn’t own his wife. She’s allowed to think and speak. They’re allowed to travel, and even transact business, with their best friends. With no business before the Court. Justice Thomas’ only “crime” is thinking while Black.
2. Justice Brett Kavanaugh didn’t sexually abuse anyone, especially not as a teenager. The FBI fully investigated his life. Full-field, single-scope background investigation. Six times. Over 150 character witnesses. No issues. Ever. The Senate Judiciary Committee fully investigated these bogus allegations. These women, who have political axes to grind, aren’t telling the truth. They’re nut-jobs. Especially Christine Blasey Ford. (”I had one beer,” and it was Brett Kavanaugh.) Her own parents don’t believe her.
3. Justice Neil Gorsuch didn’t even know the name of the buyer, and the buyer didn’t know Gorsuch had a 20% stake, when the buyer worked through real-estate agents to make an offer to buy a Colorado fishing cabin. Well below the asking price. If you’re attempting to bribe a judge, at least pay the asking price. The cabin has greatly increased in value since the buyer’s purchase. Can Gorsuch unwind the deal—and get back his cabin? Please.
4. Chief Justice John Roberts’ wife left the very lucrative practice of law after his confirmation. To avoid any appearance problems. Jane’s been a legal headhunter since then. At the best legal headhunting firms in the world. No secret. Ever. She’d make a lot more money as a partner at a major law firm. Like she did for 20 years before.
Of course, Senate Democrats will ignore ethical issues surrounding Democrat-appointed justices and their spousals.
Bottom Lines:
There’s no ethics problem at the Supreme Court.
Senate Democrats can piss off.

I am sorry to hear you are having neck problems etc. Looking at computers is in the range of a tri-focal. I don’t know what kind of glasses you wear but my daughter has tri-focals and her neck hurt all the time because she had to tilt her head back to be able to see through that tri-focal range. When they told me I needed tri-focal’s I told them No! I just want what they call Computer glasses. You measure how far you sit from the computer then they make the lenses accordingly. They will put the bi-focal part in also if you need to look down to see the keyboard sometimes or to read something you need to look at. No more tilting your neck. I told my daughter to get computer glasses which she did about a week ago and she is not having nearly the neck problem she had before.
I am still hanging in. A few minor problems, but like you said, getting old is the pits. Take Care.

Interesting things this morning, I went into check on the babies, and three of them were stuck in the bathtub. I guess they have learned how to jump, but not to question if they should. The remaining two apparently learned the lesson of why not to do that.
