Wow, what happened to your right to say no?? I’m at least asked.
I’ve noticed that vets “telling” me my dogs need vaccinating. No, they don’t. They get rabies a few times, but that’s it. But they really push it. And if they REALLY push it, I tell them, my breeder is a vet tech and vaccinates them when she visits. Anyone can vaccinate their dogs for all the other things, but not rabies. I do get them vaccinated as puppies, but that’s it.
My sister once got her pneumonia vaccine a few years ago and a couple months later came down with double pneumonia. I honestly thought she was going to die. She was so sick. I had to call her boss (jab fan pediatrician) to tell her to go to the ER. Now, if I were my sister, I’d think... “hmm, the pneumonia shot did not work, why should get any more vaccines?”
Since Covid, I don’t trust them on vaccines.
Mine wants me to take osteoporosis meds. I refused.
She wants me to be vaxed to the gills. I refused.
I have tried every statin on the market for cholesterol and they all made me sick. I refused more of those.
I fired her this morning and won’t go back. She requires me to have bloodwork done every six months. It’s fasting bloodwork since she also checks the cholesterol. The door to the office is closed until 8:00 for labs. I was there a couple of minutes early to get in line in the hall. The door was still locked after 8:00 so I left. I called and told them I wouldn’t be back.
All I need is the thyroid test. Nothing can be done for the cholesterol and everything else is always good.
I can’t stand on this foot and ankle for more than five minutes. There are no chairs in the hallway. I walk better than I can stand.
I don’t need a doctor. I don’t want to be put on a scale and grumped at if I’m 2 pounds over what she wants me to weigh. I don’t want my BP checked. I can do both of those.
I refuse to go to another doctor. If three doctors can’t fix a simple sprained ankle, why should I trust any of them? If I get sick, I’ll go to a walk-in clinic. I can get my thyroid checked and get the thyroid med refilled at CVS MinuteClinic. I refuse to have any more bloodwork done that requires fasting. Food I can do without. Coffee I cannot. I turn into super-witch without my coffee in the morning. NO MORE. IMO, they are all quacks that stay in business by prescribing meds that have side effects more dangerous than what they are treating. Nope!
Drs push a lot of vaccines which means they are getting a cut of the action. Unfortunately, my work required everyone get the COVID shots. I told them right up front no boosters for me. I countered the COVID jabs by Vit C, Quercetin, Zinc, Vit D-3.
Anyone can vaccinate their dogs for all the other things, but not rabies.

Good to know. Our vet clinic demands that our dogs get a complete (expensive) health workup before they will vaccinate. So we took our dogs to the free county-sponsored rabies clinic. Dogs are fine, but the vet clinic showed signs of hydrophobia after that. Ha.
