THOMASTON, CT (WFSB) - The Archdiocese of Hartford is looking into the possibility of an extremely rare miracle at Saint Thomas Church in Thomaston.

This is potentially something incredible, and people Channel 3 talked to in Thomaston are taking notice.

Father Joseph Crowley said there may have been an Eucharistic Miracle at the church earlier this month.

“What happened is our lord multiplied himself,” Crowley said.

Crowley said earlier this month, as an Eucharistic minister was handing out host, which is bread for communion, a miracle happened.

The number of hosts that minister had actually went up instead of down.

“We really do celebrate the life, death, resurrection of Jesus Christ and the alter, that the Eucharist really is the body soul and divinity of Jesus Christ and that all things are possible with God,” said Crowley.

When the minister suspected they were running out of hosts to pass out, Crowley said they glanced around to find more, but when that minister looked back down, more hosts had appeared.

One must be both born of the Spirit through baptism *and* eat of His Body and drink of His Blood, and one must receive baptism first.

Sadly; Jesus did NOT tell these requirements to those who asked Him...

John 6:25-40

25 When they found him on the other side of the lake, they asked him, “Rabbi, when did you get here?”

26 Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, you are looking for me, not because you saw the signs I performed but because you ate the loaves and had your fill. 27 Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on him God the Father has placed his seal of approval.”

28 Then they asked him, “What must we do to do the works God requires?”   (direct question)

29 Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”   (direct answer)

30 So they asked him, “What sign then will you give that we may see it and believe you? What will you do? 31 Our ancestors ate the manna in the wilderness; as it is written: ‘He gave them bread from heaven to eat.’[c]

32 Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, it is not Moses who has given you the bread from heaven, but it is my Father who gives you the true bread from heaven. 33 For the bread of God is the bread that comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”

34 “Sir,” they said, “always give us this bread.”

35 Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty. 36 But as I told you, you have seen me and still you do not believe. 37 All those the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away. 38 For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me. 39 And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all those he has given me, but raise them up at the last day. 40 For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.”

Yes, one should not demand miracles from God- to do so is to test Him.

But God may grant miracles even to those with little Faith:

Matthew 8:23-27

23 Then he got into the boat and his disciples followed him. 24 Suddenly a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. 25 The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!”

26 He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.

“What is THIS?”

Paul can answer that, in 1 Corinthians 11:23-30
“23 For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, that the Lord Jesus, the same night in which he was betrayed, took bread 24 And giving thanks, broke, and said: Take ye, and eat: this is my body, which shall be delivered for you: this do for the commemoration of me. 25 In like manner also the chalice, after he had supped, saying: This chalice is the New Testament in my blood: this do ye, as often as you shall drink, for the commemoration of me.

26 For as often as you shall eat this bread, and drink the chalice, you shall shew the death of the Lord, until he come. 27 Therefore whosoever shall eat this bread, or drink the chalice of the Lord unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and of the blood of the Lord. 28 But let a man prove himself: and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of the chalice. 29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh judgment to himself, not discerning the body of the Lord. 30 Therefore are there many infirm and weak among you, and many sleep.”

Not merely the old covenant, the Passover meal.

Put all that together with the last half of John 6.

None of this is a suggestion. It’s our half of the covenant, the new contract.

If you have an interest in reading about it, you can simply google and read both sides.

No u just accused my faith of falsehood. Prove it.

I know both sides and I know first hand accounts. No pun intended.

U Hibbs people are getting out of hand. One does not prove they are Christian by stepping up on another’s faith in Christ. Doing so only proves one thing...God still has work to do.

Spread your Hibbness to those without faith and do us all a favor.

Your interpretation was not that of the early Christians, who had been taught by Christ, and who taught the next “generation” of followers. See the Didache, Chapter 10 (https://www.newadvent.org/fathers/0714.htm).

Rather, my "interpretation" is indeed that of the early Christians who had been taught by Christ, since rather than being from the uninspired writings of post apostolic men, it is from what is manifest in the only wholly inspired substantive authoritative record of what the NT church believed which is Scripture, in particular Acts through Revelation, which best shows how the NT church understood the gospels). And which flowed from OT Scripture which provided the doctrinal and prophetic epistemological foundation for the NT church.

Contrary to the Catholic contrivance of the Lord’ supper (like as other distinctive Catholic teaching) nowhere therein is the Lord’ supper said or shown to be,

Instead, in the only clear description of the Lord's supper in all of Acts and in all of the epistles to churches, the Lord supper is described as a remembrance of proclamation, in which His Lord’s death is effectually remembered by manifesting the union with God and other believers which the Lord's death wrought, which is proclaimed by taking part in actual communal meal with others who were bought with His sinless shed blood.

Which is showing union with the object of their feast and others who are bought by Him like as taking part in religious pagan feasts meant having “fellowship with devils."

See 1 Cor. 10,11 in which the body of Christ as the church is called “one bread,” since they eat the Lord’s supper together, like as Israelites showed oneness with God and each other by taking part in their feasts, and pagans had fellowship with the object of their dedicatory feasts. Which meant that while eating the Lord's supper signified fellowship with the Lord and each other, to take part in religious pagan feasts would mean having “fellowship with devils.” (1 Corinthians 10:15–22)

And "not discerning the Lord's body" (1 Corinthians 11:29) contextually refers to doing just the oppose of the above, that of selfishly eating the Lord’s supper independent of others, even ignoring their valid needs and thus "shame them that have not," which meant that they were actually not coming together to observe the Lord's supper, 1 Corinthians 11:20-22)

For by ignoring others while supposedly remembering the Lord’s death by which they became part of the body of Christ, was to effectually not recognize the body of Christ. (1 Corinthians 11:17–34) Thus many were chastened, some even by death, and thus the solution was not take of a lesson on transubstantiation, but of self examination, and not coming to the "feast of charity" (Jude 1:12) hungry. (1 Corinthians 11:30-32)

You have obviously spent an incredible amount of time and thought against Catholicism. There is no way I can counter what you say because I do not spend time figuring out arguments against other denominations: I have enough to learn about my own faith, which I left Protestantism for.

Which besides being wrong (Acts 10:43-47; 15:7-9) indicates that you are either ignorant of Lumen Gentium 19 or a schismatic, since you must deny anyone from being regenerate if they do not believe in the Catholic Eucharist.

No. I accused padre pia of falsehood

You can believe whatever you want.

If you want the other side of the acid Padre, it is readily available.

I’m satisfied his stigmata was false.

You can decide for yourself.

I have no idea what “a Hibbs people is”

I wasn’t discussing Christ - the only Way to salvation - but a fraudulent claim by a man.

which is eternally being offered to the Father, according to Hebrews

I have to assume you are talking about Hebrews 9:14, and that is not what that means. His sacrifice is eternal, but it is not eternally happening. Hebrews 10:12 states "But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God". One sacrifice, done for all, done and over. The communion is a remembrance of that sacrifice, not a reenactment.

No, it isn't a "little god". It _is_ God.

If you are looking at that little wafer, made by human hands, as 'GOD', then you have made yourself an idol, which does nothing and can never do anything. Just like every single Old Testament prophet said about idols made of wood, silver and gold. You just made yours out of flour.

I do not hate padre Pio.

The evidence used simply says he had issues and was a fraud.
