“Bought a lot of plastic army guys there.”
A trip to Ben Franklin was such a treat! Sis and I had about a thousand of their plastic horses. If we were careless with them and Dad stepped on one, he’d pretend to shoot it, ‘to put it out of its misery’ and then he’d pocket it, and we’d never see it again. :(
I still miss ‘Snowball.’ Forty years of therapy HAS helped. A little. Maybe. Kinda.

Woolworth’s. JJ Newberry. Kresge’s.
I loved Woolworth’s lunch counter. And they sold Evening in Paris perfume which I’d buy for Mom.

How do you know that they are not lying to you on the whole cage free thing?
Wow, that’s really low, still $3.57 for a dozen cage free large brown eggs in S. IL & W. KY. Aldi had 1 dozen “regular” large white eggs for $1.88 this morning.
Feed costs are still very high, but layer pellets recently came down to $10.99 / 50 lbs. @ Rural King. That’s cheaper than scratch grains (50 lb.) @ $12.49.
Those cage free eggs I mentioned were at Wally World. The Aldi stores in this area have not had free range or cage free for a while.
If the prices around $2 / doz. “hold” for std. large eggs, I’d think Dollar Tree could sell 4 or 6 for $1.25. Might be good for people not eating a lot of eggs.
