Over half of the registered voters in this country are too politically illiterate to understand this story.

And yet hundreds are detained without trial, Liz Cheney and the rest of the "committee" walk free, and the Capitol police keep their awards.

Din't forget the "media" who went along with it. They're accessories to the crime.

And while its good that this is getting out, if nothing will be done to exact justice, then it is nothing more than rubbing people's noses it it, compounding the outrage.

It was important for the government to hide those hours of video so that we can be safe. Now that Carlson has exposed some of it we are no longer safe, and neither is our democracy.

The left put their agents in the crowd to provoke violence. The democrats created a totally-fabricated story about Jan 6. Innocent people are in solitary. The public still has its collective head up its collective anal exit passageway.

What elaborate scheme will they concoct to destroy Trump and/or DeSantis? Another virus? A “terror” attack? They’re creative. Assume the worst.

It sure dismantles the narrative, but the people who constructed the narrative will not admit to it. The official narrative in the media will not change, the news channels will double down on the narrative, and not one leftist will recant. So in the end, it will just cause consternation on our side for losing the public opinion battle on one more cause.

I’d like to know who gave the order to start firing teargas canisters, flashbangs, and rubber bullets into a large, but peaceful crowd gathered for a rally for which they had a permit. It was only after being attacked that the crowd became unruly. I would also like to see the beating of Rosanne Boyland who later died. The new house should call that policeman to explain why he was beating her and why he was pushing people down on top of her.

At least the 14,000 hours of video taken during the riot should be opened for public examination, not just snippets by the January 6th committee and even Tucker Carlson. We need to see all of it.

Some said the legacy media would go silent on this after 2 straight years of covering the story. But NO. CBS Mornings came out full force defensive mode attacking Tucker and the tapes and said it was all a lie.....Amazing how defensive the fake news is on this.

A Grand Jury should be convened to put Committee Members under oath and question them for the false statements made.

Follow the Money; How did Liz Cheney join the Congress with a net worth of 7 million dollars and after 6 years have a net worth of 44 million dollars?

I really wish speaker McCarthy was serious about exposing the truth and punishing the liars in congress. If he was, he would be signing Arrest and Detainment orders for Inherent Contempt for a whole lot of government employee’s, beginning with every last person on the sham committee that LIED to the Congress and the Public. Bring Cheney and Schiff before CONGRESS and ARREST THEM.

“U.S. CODE
TITLE 2—THE CONGRESS
CHAPTER 6—CONGRESSIONAL AND COMMITTEE PROCEDURE; INVESTIGATIONS
Sec. 193. Privilege of witnesses
No witness is privileged to refuse to testify to any fact, or to produce any paper, respecting which he shall be examined by either House of Congress, or by any joint committee established by a joint or concurrent resolution of the two Houses of Congress, or by any committee of either House, upon the ground that his testimony to such fact or his production of such paper may tend to disgrace him or otherwise render him infamous.”

Simply look up Hinds Precedents, especially chapters 53 and 51, and Cannon’s Precedents, especially chapters 184-185. You’ll find numerous detailed cases of Congress asserting its power, arresting people, holding them until they agreed to answer questions, and then releasing them. Some of these people did not refuse to appear, but simply failed to satisfactorily answer questions.

Congress has the authority to arrest and imprison those found in Contempt. The power extends throughout the United States and is an inherent power (does not depend upon legislated act)

If found in Contempt the person can be arrested under a warrant of the Speaker of the House of Representatives or President of the Senate, by the respective Sergeant at Arms.

Statutory criminal contempt is an alternative to inherent contempt.

Under the inherent contempt power Congress may imprison a person for a specific period of time or an indefinite period of time, except a person imprisoned by the House of Representatives may not be imprisoned beyond adjournment of a session of Congress.

Imprisonment may be coercive or punitive.

In 1857, a New York Times reporter refused to say which members of Congress had asked him to get them bribes (protecting his “sources” just as various Judith Millers today protect the people who feed them proven lies that costs thousands of lives), so Congress locked him up until he answered and then banned him from Congress.

In 1924 an oil executive appeared but refused to answer certain questions, so the Senate held — literally held — him in contempt. Senator Thomas Walsh of Montana argued that this question of contempt was of the gravest importance, and that it involved “the very life of the effective existence of the House of Representatives of the United States and of the Senate of the United States.” The matter was taken to court, and the witness fined and imprisoned.

Just a quick observation:

“At least nine police officers escorted Jacob Chansley, the so-called “QAnon shaman” throughout the building that afternoon. Some even opened doors so Chansley could access rooms inside the Capitol. Chansley was recorded inside the Senate chambers where he led a prayer and thanked law enforcement...He is currently serving a 41 month prison term.”

Dems throw poo.

Republicans finally catch up months/years later and do a clean up.

The smell remains.
