Queen Elizabeth II offered Frogmore Cottage to the couple at the time of their wedding, and it was the couple’s home base on infrequent visits to Britain.
Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan, have been asked to move out of Frogmore Cottage, their five-bedroom Georgian house on the grounds of Windsor Castle, the couple’s press secretary said, in a further sign of the bitter rupture between them and the British royal family since they withdrew from royal duties and left Britain.
Queen Elizabeth II offered the house to the couple, known as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, at the time of their wedding in 2018. It has served as their home base on infrequent visits to Britain since they relocated to Montecito, Calif.
“We can confirm the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been requested to vacate their residence at Frogmore Cottage,” said the press secretary, Ashley Hansen, who is head of communications for the couple’s foundation, Archewell.
Ms. Hansen did not provide further details about the reasons for or timing of the eviction, which was first reported on Wednesday by The Sun, a British tabloid. The Sun said that King Charles III had made the decision shortly after the publication of Harry’s memoir, “Spare,” which is replete with scorching accounts of Harry’s dysfunctional relationship with Charles, his father; and with his brother, Prince William.

So they were informed of this in January, yet “someone” informed press now? Just in time for pictures of them on a “date night” in LA?
wasn’t it a red hot poker up the jacksie?
“The idiot formerly known as “prince””
LOL
Kicked out to give to pedophile, Andrew.
Can’t wait until the grifter divorces the jerk and drains him and his family for gazillions of dollars. Can you imagine the cash settlement to get rid of her????
Well at least it is near a pond or lake, many cottages are.
Chuck is busting heads and taking names.I wonder how popular this stuff is with his “subjects”.
LOL!!! Your description is right on the money. I’m an avid student of history...mostly British history...medieval period, but also interested in WWI, and WWII. Been working my way through books on the royals of Britain. Currently reading a biography of Catherine of Aragon. Previously read one on Eleanor of Acquintaine, the Plantagenets, etc. I’m also currently reading a book titled “Terrible Victory” by Mark Zuehlke. It’s the story about the First Canadian Army’s and The Sheldt Estuary Campaign in Holland in the fall of 1944. My father was born in Schoondijke, Holland in 1904. The village is mentioned in the book. I visited Schoondijke with my oldest son in 2006. Schoondijke was virtually destroyed by Allied bombing. The Germans occupied and held the port there. It was the job of the Canadians to rout the Germans, and take control of the port. It was a long, and bloody fight. My father was 8 when he, his two brothers, and their parents came to the U.S. My mother was born in Canada, so I have two reasons to want to learn more about the battle. My great-uncle was killed fighting in France with Canadian forces two months before the Armistice. More than likely I had a collateral relative or relatives who fought and died in WWII as well.
Do you ever think there are mornings where Harry wakes up, looks in the mirror and says “Harry, you are a stupid stupid man? What the hell were you thinking when you picked up Meghan?”
I don’t like Harry and Megan. But then again, I don’t like any of them. Camilla and Charles were 1980s / early 1990s version of Harry and Megan in spades. In fact, they were much worse. They all need to go.
Yup.
I was quite surprised to learn that Charles is more likely to adhere to previous royal tradition like his mother. He might have some whacky ideas about other things, but supposedly, he will stick with the way things have gone before, just maybe a bit less elaborately. I heard he's already scaled back his Coronation ceremony.
living under meghan’s skirt
They are all my ancestors.
Am I glad they left and GTH out of there in the early 1600s.
The first seemed to have been sent over here to set up at the Conn river valley to help install the nobility on this continent.
relatively speaking
a cottage when compared to the castle
“I’ve read much of that history and it is just like a reality show, and you listed some of the least heinous things that happened in that family.”
Yeah, I’m still struggling with Lady Jane Grey and Rosamond Clifford. Down through history not many “Royals” have been nice people.
Probably more likely he blames his brother
Supposedly...at Berkeley Castle in Gloucestershire where he was being held prisoner.
“And don’t mention the death of Edward II.”
That was the rumor anyway. He most likely was smothered to death in reality.
Concerning Richard the 3rd? Hell..he was a piker compared to some of the others. Try King John Lackland!
Also..try Richard the 1st. He ruled all those years and spent just about 6 months in England.
They’d all screw a rock pile just to get the snakes out of it that is how bad they were.
