A great list 70s song

Streaming music as I work and this song popped up. Been many years since I've heard it last but loved it growing up. One of Paul's best. I love the line in the song "I never thought to ask her what the letter G stood for, but I know it wasn't good"!

Sally G.....enjoy.

What about “Kung Foo Fighting?” That is pretty pathetic.

And I was in that group of about one person who absolutely hated Aerosmith’s Walk This Way.

Cracker Box Palace, Afternoon Delight, and Muskrat Love ?

If you're going that way, then you must include Precious and Few

Anything by Little River Band

As long as it's with Glenn Shorrock. "It's A Long Way There", awesome guitar solo.

Soundtrack to “Sorcerer” was one of the tapes I listened to at full volume while my wisdom teeth were pulled. 🤣

Hard to believe it was the same guy who sang "Time Won't Let Me".

Along with anything by Mungo Jerry.

I had only heard "In the Summertime" until amount a month ago. Then I decided to go back and listen to the rest of his catalogue. Man, all of his stuff was great. It's a shame he didn't make it bigger.

Indeed. Surprised it hasn’t been canceled as yet. One of my favorites.

‘The Night Chicago Died’ or ‘Where Are You Now, Harry Truman?’ should make the list.. and in my opinion, the king of all one hit wonders... ‘Brandy’ by Looking Glass...

We went to a Mannheim Steamroller Christmas concert and they played “Convoy”. Guess why.

I picked those songs because they embodied the sort of silliness I remember from the '70s. Well done, but kind of frivolous and silly.

Precious and Few was actually good, lacking in silliness.

This is one I came across a few months ago, I don’t remember it from when it first came out, but I really liked it.

Gonna find my baby, gonna hold her tight
Gonna grab some afternoon delight
My motto’s always been ‘when it’s right, it’s right’
Why wait until the middle of a cold dark night?
When everything’s a little clearer in the light of day
And we know the night is always gonna be there any way

Thinkin’ of you’s workin’ up my appetite
Looking forward to a little afternoon delight
Rubbin’ sticks and stones together makes the sparks ingite
And the thought of lovin’ you is getting so exciting
Sky rockets in flight
Afternoon delight
Afternoon delight
Afternoon delight

The women in that group were pretty afternoon delight worthy.

This one reminds me of a particular lifelong female friend, she could never get it right and always seemed to take the wrong road.
