The Jesus Revolution shocked movie elites in landing in the top three movie money makers this past weekend.
This movie, which includes former Frasier star, Kelsey Grammer, way outperformed expectations on opening weekend.
The Washington Examiner writes:
The premiere of Jesus Revolution took the box office’s No. 3 spot this past weekend.
Moviegoers defied film critics’ reviews of the newly released film, which is based on the real-life experience of hippies being invited into church by Southern California pastor Chuck Smith, who was played by Frasier star Kelsey Grammer. The film depicts the Christian movement in the late 1960s and early 1970s that spread across the country as thousands joined the faith.

What is your problem? I would think that someone who is always talking about what a righteous Roman Catholic they are would be happy that a movie about a Jesus revolution is doing so well. True Christians are fully supporting films like this.

I wasn’t aware that the fake pope said the movie was bad.
I’ll make a point to go see this very soon.
Saw it Last Wednesday and been chewing on it ever since.

If Frankie the Fake says it’s a bad movie, then I HAVE to see it. I was gonna buy it on Blu-ray anyway.
I believed FREEPERS when they were exuberant on their orgasmic review of An American Carol. So trusting my FRiends on FR, we went to see it. The movie sucked!!!!!!!!! Seriously awful! I believe that Conservatives are so desperate for a movie that they trade their dignity for any entertainment that has the words american and Jesus. Quality does not matter.
Thank God for it.
Greg Lauries radio show used to be on during my drive time so I listened to him for years and was already familiar with his testimony, but seeing it in movie form was really a great story.
I'm 60 so I was a kid during the time period Jesus Revolution took place so we had fun taking the trip down memory lane with the music, cars, styles and headlines, tv clips etc. So fun.
Early on in the movie I shed a tear when I heard my Lords name uttered respectably. I love love love seeing God moving mightily and that's what this movie is all about during this little slice of history we got to see and relive.
Wholesome famuly movies are a rare treat in these dark times. If only all movies could be like this one.
Hubby and I saw this today. Both liked it. A movie about salvation for so many - what’s not to like?
